  1. I have a child at Westside. Got a call stating safe in place not on lockdown. So glad the school was proactive.

  2. Dumb question: What is the difference in lockdown and safe in place?

  3. So glad that a good guy with a gun is in all Wicomico schools.

  4. There were an unbelievable amount of undercover police and state troopers there for an overdose.

  5. Why lock down? Where's the threat? Lady is dead. It's from an overdose. Not a shooting. Now the kids know something is going on and probably trying to see. They could've been clueless and the scene cleared if not advertising it.

  6. This is not being considered an overdose. Sourced from a friend close to the family it is being considered a suspicious death.

  7. School procedures are to 'shelter in place' when directed to do so by law enforcement - in this case, it keeps the kids inside so they do not need to witness law enforcement/coroner on scene.

  8. Oh yeah...to bad the kids will know some woman dies from drugs.

I think it's a perfect time for a talk about drugs to the kids. It's right there in their face. Let the fourth and fifth grades go out there and see them taking her out of there and have LEO's explain that she now has an motherless child because she just didn't just say no and find better friends.

  9. We need to put an emergency ban on bathtubs! People always die in them.

  10. Another death in those houses. I think the last one was the young boy that "shot himself" with a large caliber handgun. Btw, for all of you complaining about the school being on a code, did you ever think that that lady was one of the student's mother? Maybe the school did it to avoid the chance of the child seeing a bad situation at their house.

  11. So where is she getting the crap. Hope they took her phone and do some work there. I think a good deterrent for the heroin use is just shoot on site if caught with it.

  12. I talked to one of the kids from that school today and she didn't even know anything about it. They must have implemented the policy but kept it quiet from the kids.

  13. Good for the school 8:06.In my opinion they don't need to know.Kids can't hardly even grow up normally any more without seeing the ugly side of society.

  14. No one knows till the body goes to the M.E. If you did not lock down and something happened these mouth breathers would be crying. No win with some of you idiots. Let people do the job that are trained to do it. The rest of you stick to licking electric fences. wtf
