I have a question . Does anyone know how many secret service agents are employed at the present time? Also , does this amount of agents compare with previous presidents?
They arrest her, and they are going to have a "medical marijuana" farm down my road that is legal! There is no excuse for what she did, but desperate people do desperate things to try and keep their home and food when there are few jobs and little hope, especially if you are over 60 and looking for work. At least she wasn't selling heroin! Now she will loose everything and have all her possessions sold and will die in jail!
Great going! I'm sure you really made a "dent" in the drug war! She looks like a real harden criminal! Not!!!
It's only going to get worse as this once great countrry collapses. The ONLY truth this imposter has ever told was that he was going to fundamentally transform America. With the help of his allies in congress and the media, he has lived up to that promise.
She grows it for personal use. The guns were her late husbands. The distribution/manufacturing comes from the plants. This is crap. Old woman isn't hurting anyone or thing. I hope your proud of yourselves deputies! This is sad. I really think you have bigger things to worry about.
These donut deputies can't handle the real drug dealers. This is all they can do. Kick a 70 year old woman. Wat to go boyz. You must be so proud of yourselves.
8:20 what an idiot you are. She is 70 and was probably crying. Big time druggie my .... It's pot, a plant, that is all it is. What an imbecile you are.
They won't arrest illegal aliens but they will lock up a 70 year old. I wonder if these cops (cough) will get a picture of themselves with the evidence of this hardened criminal? ? Haha
9:32 because that is the topic of the article. Do you have a point? Want to talk about other plants start another thread. Obvious you have comprehension issues also.
Dorchester County, hmmmm. There are no drug dealers to be busted in Cambridge? How about Hurlock? Open air markets in both those towns but hey, it's easier to bust a 70 year old woman for a few pot plants. Way to waste taxpayer dollars there Sheriff.
She isn't going to spend one day in jail. No one does for pot. All this nonsense about the prisons being overcrowded with pot sellers and users is just than nonsense. I repeat even if found guilty she will NOT spend a day in jail. Mark my words that I am saying here and now.
But her gun rights will be stripped and she will be put in the same class as dope dealing thugs. For what? Her winter harvest? Not even enough to last the winter at that. Smdh. This right here is 100% personal use stuff. A ticket is what should be given. Yet Maryland oh Maryland......
While the drug dealer, that they all know by name on E Church St, continues selling drugs, out in public view. But they take down some 70 yr old growing her own. Pathetic. October 21, 2015 at 9:52 AM
boy did you hit the nail right on the head!
the only thing the cops do in the church street area is stop people for not coming to a "complete stop" at the railroad tracks on truitt street!
This smells a lot like it looks -- it stinks. That's because there is no uniformity with the so called law they are enforcing. Serious, violent, drug dealers roam throughout the area at night and this is the big bust cops were looking for? Give me a break. More like glorified boy scouts than real police. No wonder why people despise our legal system and government. What a disgrace.
They'll pull the plants, weigh them green and wet, and use the increased weight to charge her with intent to distribute (felony)Truth is, she probably only has a few ounces of smokable weed, but it will turn into pounds due to moisture content.. At trial she'll be given the choice to plead guilty to possession, manufacturing, paraphernalia, etc. or, she can plead to the felony conviction of intent to distribute only. She'll be told that she faces up to 35 years for the lesser charges but, if she cooperates and takes the felony, she will walk with just a fine and probation ($$). Since she'll take the felony to avoid the possibility of getting time, and the state will get additional funding from the Feds to fight crime (Ha)...That's how it works people. It's all about getting the money. And she is easy pickings. Cops/courts don't like to go after the real problems..Those people are dangerous. Waste of resources..
Talk about irony...a few stories above this one states that 44,700 new jobs were created as of September in Maryland...under Obama...then this story is posted indicating that this 70 year old woman has to sell drugs to get by...and that is Obama's fault? Let's take a closer look at Congress and the Senate, big banks, big oil, war mongers to make people like Cheney richer and for once put the blame where it belongs...Social Security is not giving cost of living wage for 2016 because of cheap gas...yet Congress and the Senate will vote themselves a cost of living raise, but they actually only are in their seats and working maybe 160 days out of the year. When are the people of this country going to pull up their big boy and big girl pants and declare that "we are not going to take this crap anymore"...God help us all.
She didn't have to sell drugs to get by. Where is that said? More likely to help the pain she's in from a long life. 12 plants isn't enough for a months of groceries.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." I don't see "unless you have 11 of the wrong plant."
I see so many people cheer when someone is arrested for a drug related crime, but then when you look at a story like this it makes you second guess yourself. We need to be actively protecting the rights of all people, or your picture will be on this page next and no one will speak up for you.
That's what happens when this president wants everyone on pot and allows states to approve it. He wants all people stoned and drunk so they can't think and see what his sinister dealings are doing to this country.
4:02 PM you are going off of what the government tells you is moral. The bible says nothing of drugs and growing a plant is not immoral. What does that tell you? The government likes to make laws that take away normal rights to control you. That is immoral.
If she were growing castor beans to kill someone she would then be doing something immoral.
This level of blind adherence because someone 'says so" is retarded. Grow up idiots and think for yourselves.
The headline should read: COUNTY SHERIFF'S DO DESPERATE THINGS
We all know why the sheriffs are searching this woman's house instead of the "on the street drug dealer". This woman has ASSETS. The dealer on the street has NOTHING!! Not in their name anyway. She better hope she has a mortgage on her house or that will be seized along with anything else of value. Don't you people see what is happening!!! Wonder why they didn't post a picture of the money fanned out next to the 410 & 22? That's right, they didn't mention CASH, did they? Well there goes the trafficking charge. The MSM and the police are trying to brainwash people to think CASH and GUNS are evil, that's why they always have them pictured together to display on the idiot box.
Those gun charges were meant to snag real drug criminals, like those dealing out of their cars in the dead of night, not grandmothers who have a plinker and a bird gun in the closet. Deputies Gone Wild. The State's Attorney should let this one slide, no conviction, no suspension, no probation, no surrender of arms. Let the judge wag a finger for appearance's sake, but that's it. Please, Maryland legislators, get your act together and adopt reasonable laws. Don't let the Feds tell you what to do on this, just do it.

She broke the law. She should go to jail.
DeleteSo did Lois Lerner and Hilary Clinton, to start with. Neither will see the inside of a jail cell. Ever.

ReplyDeleteYes. Because this never happened before Obama.
ReplyDeletelol...just look at her face. Ever seen a 70 year old look that bad? Not me. Big time druggie from the looks of it.

I don't think Obama is the root of her problem
ReplyDeleteRidiculous, this sounds like it was probably for personal use. Most homes around here have a .22 and a .410 in them. What a waste of resources.

ReplyDeleteCocaine starts as a plant... so does Heroin, Alcohol, Tobacco products, Mushrooms, etc. Why draw the line at Marijuana?
Sure, why draw the line there?
DeleteAspirin started as a plant...so did digitalis
(heart medicine), vincristine (chemotherapy for cancer), and pyrethrins (garden insect repellent).
Willow trees. Foxglove flowers. Periwinkle. Chrysanthemums.
