Liberals, start screaming: Chick-fil-A restaurant owner does the unimaginable to his employees

You know how AWFUL Chick-fil-A is as a company, right? How the late founder, S. Truett Cathy, raised the ire of many because he was unabashed in his opinion of traditional marriage (practically a crime nowadays in the U.S. of A.) and the company proudly closes on Sundays to observe the Sabbath (a quaint, obsolete idea to many).

Besides Chick-fil-A is a corporation, and corporations are evil, greedy, money-hungry monsters, right?

Okay liberals, how do you explain THIS one?

A Chick-fil-A owner recently had to shut down his Austin, Texas restaurant for five months for renovations, according to the Business Insider.
Instead of temporarily laying off his 50 workers, Jeff Glover shocked his staff by continuing to pay them during the entire five months the restaurant would be closed, ABC affiliate KVUE reports.

  1. I went there the other day for a late lunch around 12:45 and was in a hurry. There were two lines both all the way to the furthest doors, so I went over to Wendy's. I was their only customer in the place. And wound up tossing half of the "day old" looking burger away...

    1. Maybe you should worry about yourself and stop preaching about what other people should do!

  3. Probably cheaper than paying for the increase in his unemployment fund contributions, and the re-hiring and training costs that he would have incurred if he had just laid everyone off. It was more of an economic decision, with public relations benefits. Certainly a smart businessman.

  4. Ever look at the nutrition chart for their chicken sandwiches? 1390mg of salt per chix sandwich. Daily allowance is 2400mg/day. 18g of fat and the daily allowance is 50g. 27g of fat in the fries. Not harping on Chick fil a, all fast food is equally as bad. Little wonder why there are so many unhealthy fat people nowadays. At least some of the operators treat their employees better than average FF joint.

  5. This is a man that cares about his employees. He has a loyal group of employees that he wanted to keep. He didn't have to train new employees and the employees were able to meet their obligations during the renovation. A truly blessed man!

  6. To 3:19pm
Fast food customers think because it's chicken, it's healthier. Not necessarily. But, then fast food customers don't usually look at nutrition charts.
