FINALLY, the break this man has so deserved for far too many years. It should be noted, Ivan was in a group of incredible contenders and came through unanimously.
The way I see it, his respected relationship with all of the surrounding law enforcement agencies is second to none.
If their pay goes up I can promise you there will be some Salisbury City officers leaving for Delmar. Ivan is the best thing to ever happen to Salisbury. Not leaving him at Chief changed the city completely. Nobody likes Duncan.
Nobody likes Duncan? ? Who? ? Yeah I know anonymous. Why can't you allow Barkley to shine foe one day without spewing your lies? ?? I know your from Salisbury and people there do this. Actually if you knew as much as you thought you did Barkley and Duncan are friends. Sorry to burst your bubble hater.
Clean house! Rid of the worthless cops in Delmar! The waste of these officers and take home cars that get used for everyday use and a family shuttle. The small armory and motor pool of military equipment has to go! And more active patrols instead of responses!
I can tell by the comments that this seems to be a good thing that has happened. I regret that I do not know this gentleman...but...I wish him well. And to all of our brothers and sister in uniform......Please be safe out there.
Hey...... Now that's a thought! Mike Lewis has got to go. He's had his fun in the sun and dosent want to come back to reality. This guy gets in and he will fire half of more of those worthless deputies. I hope he thinks about it.
Great news! Godspeed your journey...sure hate to see you leave Worcester County and I echo the sentiments of many others that it would have been nice to see you come to Pocomoke City.
Awesome news and one who really has earned it. I wanted him for SPD Chief I know what our dept thinks of him and how badly they wanted him for chief. When we had our neighborhood meetings totally impressed, he is someone to admire. Congratulations.
I respect both Duncan and Barkley. Campbell and Cohen were ready to support Barkley, but Ireton wanted his Democratic croney (he's a good guy, but...) Ireton never put Barkley forward.
Both Barkley and Duncan showed class working together. She fought to get him a real #2 position, a promotion.
Congrats to Ivan Barkley! Well deserved, man, well deserved!
Delmar carries on the common sense Carl Anderton put them on the path to. Kudos to them too!
So cool! You deserve this! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteWish he would have came to Pocomoke.
ReplyDeleteFantastic, welcome Chief Barkley.
ReplyDeleteIvan is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe guys at SPD are happy for the Delmar Officers. SPD officers know what they are missing.

ReplyDeleteGreat choice. No law says a person can't be 2 chiefs at once.He could commute between Pocomoke and Delmar.Just kidding of course.
ReplyDeleteIvan Barkley is a fine man and a great police officer. Decent, honest, slow to anger, patient and reasonable.
ReplyDeletemaybe they will make him sheriff, we need one of those.
