The laundry detergent industry has taken steps to curb accidental poisonings from the pods, which are designed to dissolve in water. As a result, they burst as soon as children put them in their mouths.
The original theory was that children were attracted to the pods because they’re colorful and squishy like candy. This prompted manufacturers like Procter and Gamble to make the packaging more opaque, yet statistics show this hasn’t helped much.

Keep them out of reach of kids, good lord . im sure you keep alcohol out of reach, keep poisons out of reach. FFS!!!!! Be a responsible parent and quit blaming companies .

ReplyDeleteWhy is the pods being left in their reach and where is supervision when this is happening. Why is it manufacture problem, this should be parents responsibility.
ReplyDeleteIt's up to the parents to keep them somewhere their children can't get to them. High up on a shelf or in a cabinet maybe? It's not the manufacturer's job to prevent the kids from eating them, it's the parents-DUH!

ReplyDeleteAnything that is the neglect of the parent now is always someone else's fault. Maybe if the parent put things out of a child reach there would be no problem. I mean do the parent also let their kids drink detergent?! Be a responsible parent

DeleteWhile raising our kids, we never brought those candy- looking things into the house! There were too many other perfectly good detergents out there to put that risk on our kids.
ReplyDeleteAs a result, we all had clean clothes and nobody got poisoned.
I know it's a difficult concept, but just try it anyway.

ReplyDeleteBut but but. They look so cool and they are so much easier to use. It is hard work measuring out the correct amount of detergent! Not to mention the fabric softener.
