Vandals Strike Ocean City Properties; Police ID Possible Suspects, But No Charges YetShawn J. SoperNews EditorOCEAN...

a small, and I mean very small, amount of research will show you that the idiot who identified this as the four corners gang out of Chicago is totally wrong.
Am I missing something? Ocean City, home of the "we laugh at your rights" judicial system, has cops STANDING IN TRAFFIC (!!) to do nothing other than look into cars for possible terrorist tourists, who may not be wearing a seat belt. Go 4MPH over the limit and two or three cops show up. Camera's take your picture hundreds of times a day. Rental cops stopping INNOCENT citizens for their "ID" on the boardwalk. But someone can stand in all these locations and take a few minutes to tag a building and there ain't a cop in sight???? Me thinks their priorities should be more inclined to stopping crime instead of producing a revenue stream. Keep cheering.
Ocean City is going from bad to worse. Now they've announced they are hiring less officers this summer and are blaming it on their oh so stringent hiring practices. Stringent hiring practices or not there is no excuse whatsoever for hiring less officers. If you make your hiring practices more difficult then you go on a whirlwind tour of recruitment so you aren't understaffed but I bet not one of the braintrusts or the clowns on the council or the police commission thought of this so now under staffed is the result.
You recall there was a couple caught last fall doing this. I forget the outcome of the case. The people who did this most recent vandalism may be related in some way to them. There ares always one or more disenfranchised kooks.
Cops in lots, not on patrol. Some of these tags took a long time. And not like it was in the dead of winter, quiet neighborhood, no, comen walk busy spring Sat night right on coastal hwy, and Phil ave, AND the boardwalk. Good job OCPD! Join the Fire Dept if you want to sleep on duty!
OC needs to do something. In the middle of winter the cops are tripping over each other. In the middle of summer, count yourself lucky if you see one and now if they are hiring less, it will be as if LE is an endangered species in OC come summer. They need to start putting some summer cops in early like starting around St Patrick's Day and keep a few up until October until weekends start slowing down to help balance out the crowds. It's like there is no happy medium which is nuts because solution isn't exactly rocket science or anything.
This is only a few pictures of this artwork. I drove by and saw guys painting over it at the old Paddock on Sunday afternoon. I was wondering what was up. They got hit good and like 3:11 said it did have to take more than just a minute or 2 and right on coastal highway.

OC has definitely changed and not for the better. We never used to have a thought at all about our safety but that has changed in the past few years. Not saying we are scared but we are more cautious when out and about. The Ocean City Today paper had a long article about them cutting the police force in Friday's edition and we did find this more than a little bit concerning. I just don't know what they are thinking.
I am showing my ignorance here, but what does that even say?
ReplyDeleteThat's because the overpaid Union cops are all parked watching their downloads on computers.
ReplyDeleteFour corners gang, bad news, they are a nasty bunch.
