Two Arrested In Freddie Gray Demonstration

Protesters marching in support of Freddie Gray briefly scuffled with police, shouting at them and throwing objects Thursday night.

Baltimore Police said on their Twitter feed that at least two people were taken into custody for disorderly conduct and destruction of property. The protesters also surrounded a police transport van, similar to the one Gray was put in after he was arrested.

Police formed a barrier around the van and it was able to leave the area. The march carried on.

It has lasted for a couple of hours, shutting down rush hour traffic. Protesters have grown increasingly agitated.

  1. DAMN I am so sick of hearing this crap. He was a criminal and had he not committed a crime. He would not have been locked up and died from his actions. And WHERE are the protests for all those who die everyday in the streets by their own color ??? Why do the churches who now are being media hounds screaming about rights now when everyday their people are killing each other. CHURCHES wake up and stop being media hounds and serve GOD.
Since "crackhead" Freddie died. How many other Blacks have died on the streets of Baltimore City and where are the protests for that and where are the Churches trying to stop those deaths ????
SO PLEASE Media ....STOP talking about this crap and stop showing up at these phony protests and they will go away and it will be history as all the other killings.
ALOT of this crap I blame on the media with keeping it going on the news and papers and blogs. As if it is not on the news / in the papers and on blogs they will all go home and do their drugs and kill each other and it will help get the population of garbage down. So MEDIA please get of this subject as I am and many others are sick of hearing this when everyday INNOCENT people are dying from the hands of criminals and NOT a protest for them. .... Lets not forget the criminals killing each other ..but who cares about them really..but again NO protests ?? And a crackhead Freddie dies and they all want to loot / burn/ protest and be seen on the news for a minute of fame...

  2. When these so called protester "criminals " block the roads..they are now committing crimes and need to be locked up for impeding the free flow of traffic and causing riot like conditions and disorderly conduct. SO lock them up and clean the streets and I am sure many of them have warrants at the same time..

Ever heard of MD judiciary case search? he was a criminal because of his many many many arrests and convictions.
No matter how you try and spin it he was a career criminal who unfortunately would never have amounted to anything other than death or a number in the prison system.

  9. Oh stop it. Freddie was a victim of lead paint poisoning as a child. This is what caused all his emotional and behavioral issues.
No matter his mother was a heroin sniffer and he and his siblings were found living in a home with on food or electric when they were children.
The lead paint made him a mess.

any number of reasons. more importantly, why chase him? do you chase someone who looks at you and runs away?

whatever happened to doing whatever you wanted to, if you're not hurting anyone? Why do we constantly need more approval from the govt to be 'allowed' to do what we want?

A man is dead, for whatever reasons, just because he chose to run from some bike cops. Mistake, yes. Illegal, maybe.

With all the killings kops have been doing I wouldn't want to be around them either. But I don't think I would've ran. Mainly because I can't and then that would draw even more attention to me and probably force an encounter I wanted to avoid in the first place.

But all of that is secondary to why he is dead. That's what is needed to be focused on right now. Running from cops, FOR NO REASON, is not a death penalty.

He asked for medical attention and did not receive it. Therein lies the rub. Whether intentional or not, they caused this death.

It makes little difference why he ran.

Had he been where he should have been with his rap sheet " in JAIL" he would be alive today...maybe it was just time for his sentence to be handed down..in the way of street justice.

people go to jail for being convicted of crimes and sentenced by a judge, not having a 'rap sheet' or to satisfy a whim of a hateful person. (unless the hateful person is a kop, DA or a judge)

OR, if these kops did not cause his death he would be alive today.
