Mother doused her 7-yer-old daughter in gas then set her on fire

A California mother has been accused of setting her seven-year-old daughter on fire this weekend.

Porche Wright, 27, was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon on attempted murder charges.

According to a news release from the Sacramento Police Department, Porche was arrested on Saturday after the suspect's friend and neighbors reported seeing Wright pour gasoline on her daughter then light her with a match.

When paramedics arrived at the Sacramento home, the seven-year-old girl was covered in serious burns.

The girl is expected to survive but she is suffering from severe wounds.

    Makes me absolutely sick, I'd give anything to have that woman for about a week. She would definitely have a looong, slow, and very painful death. The exact thing she needs but over in super liberal USA, California they'll probably find someway to blame it on the kid.

    Really sad they don't lock up nut jobs anymore..seem to be enough around..guess it helps the justice system scam. They don't protect or serve squat.this is why we need concealed carry laws..she never would have lit that match near me regardless of the consequences in MD...but hey its libtarded california or Md ...sorry kid cant help ya

    430, the real loon here is the person so obsessed with political tirades they could turn even this story into another lame Obama attack.

    Sadly, this woman is seriously mentally ill. You can bet had she received the assistance she needed earlier, this tragedy would never happened. Time to put her down like a rabid dog; just my opinion.
