Your Federal Tax Dollars Hard At Work

Why is this federal employee at the Salvation Army thrift store with a company car at 3:30 in the afternoon yesterday?

  1. Gotcha. Great photo of our tax money at work.

  2. I'm sure it's some worthwhile government program created by Obama. Perhaps mystery shopping program for Goodwill & Salvation Army stores! LOL

  3. Got a pic of a State car at Olympia gym at 3:45 Monday. I know because he came out of Olympia at 4:05 with gym bag. He could not have been off work because he made what appeared to be five calls before he left. I was waiting for someone during this time

  4. You people are stupid. Everyone gets a meal break and theres no law that says you have to spend it at a fast food place is there? I sometimes go to the Halo thrift store on my lunch break. Why does that disturb you??

  5. When everybody gets their ID chip put under their skin this won't happen. Gov't will know where you are and what you are doing 24/7.

  6. It disturbs them because they have jobs that suck and they must buy their own lunch and drive their own vehicle.

  10. 1:50 Look at the bottom of the tag. It says FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY. I believe you are in violation of GAO regulations involving use of a government vehicle. Please leave us your name and number so we may contact you for further clarification and a possible official inquiry.

  12. They could have been working on something that had them go either to that store or one of the houses across the street.Ever think of that?

  13. Investigation? Parked vehicle there and rode with someone else in an undercover, unmarked car.

  14. Should have let the air out of a couple of tires, remove the valve core. This is just "Mischief" not destruction, so really no charges. Let them explain that to their boss!

  15. 5:33 Let us see your vehicle log entries.

  16. This is all well and good but it's nickel and dime crap. Let's focus on the REAL wastes of tax monies.

Like TSA, EPA, ATF, CIA for starters.

  17. Ohfergodsakes people.

It's not like he got out of the car with his whole family, in there for a couple hours. I parked my company truck between Michaels and Home Depot a couple weeks ago, needed to stop to pick up a tool, also on my own lunch break. Last thing I need, is some clueless busybody making a "concerned" phone call to my employer, that I was "out shopping at Michaels on company time."

Then again, my boss knows better, and he'd tell 'em to tend to their own damn chickens.

So what if someone stopped by a thrift store driving their employer's car? It's not your concern, because you're just assuming they were doing something wrong.

  19. WTF is a good caption for this. Its a take home vehicle am assuming... which means they drive it wherever they want. As Long as it is on the way home... . This whole post is stupid... Joe... you are much better than this crap

  20. 10:25 You are missing the point. Your use of the company vehicle is between you and your employer. In the case of a government car we are the employer.

  22. Not defending or shaming vehicle use. But as a licensed Social Worker I have stopped by the Salvation Army several times. When families are in need, houses burnt to the ground, women moving from domestic violent issues. Salvation Army gave vouchers for these people to get clothing and furniture at no cost. Kids that come to school with no coats. I have used my own money even when put on furloughs from the governor. There are poor people out there that don't do drugs and are law abiding citizens and just can't get that break they need. I was only making $36,000 a year, I could barely get by and I have a college degree. So I got smart. I left the state, and social work, got a job that paid better and now I volunteer and help families get what they need.
