I bet Ireton wouldn't be walking down any street late at night in this city alone! All one has to do is just look at him and his actions.
A case study in what not to do! He is a joke and a disgrace in the community.
Crime isn't down and perception isn't up. Accurate reporting of crime is down and fraudulent numbers are up. Robberies are down because babs has a robbery reported as an assault and a theft and not a robbery. Burglaries are reported as mdop, the list goes on and on. They are not "down in there", babs doesn't want her officers on the street being proactive, she wants them in the building writing reports. She takes the proactive officers off the street and puts them behind a desk or kicks them out. Only a matter of time before the Feds take over SPD just like her former agency. The house of cards will fall and they will fall hard.

ReplyDeleteIt's easy to say crime is down, the Bay Bridge is for sale and I have a great building lot in the middle of Deal Island Marsh for sale...Show the numbers, the stats and most of all walk down the lower end of Smith street after dark and prove crime is down by 50%! Talk is cheap and so is that lot I have for sale...any takers?

ReplyDeleteDemocrats know they have the overwhelming majority of black votes regardless that black on black crime is epidemic. They are okay until the crime starts morphing out into the white communities then they can't spin no longer.
It's no secret what generations of democratic rule has done to the inner cities. They are war zones, havens of crime and poverty.
You then have to have someone like NY's former republican Mayor Rudy Guiliani to come in and fix the mess the democrats have made.
Did they say that the COLD weather had anything to do with it? Always does, when it is this cold people always stay in and don't do the crimes. This is fact, has been that way for years and years.

ReplyDelete8:07, I have been told that the one way Duncan and Ireton are making it look like crime is down is by asking outside agencies to investigate serious crimes. I'm told that the stats don't reflect back on Salisbury PD at that point. I was also told other agencies are doing the same. I have no clue if this is true but I'm researching it. There are crime sites outside law enforcement that pinpoint where crime happened, not what agency handled the investigation. Time and research will tell.

DeleteAgencies only report the crimes they investigate and they are responsible for the coding regarding the nature of the crime. These are collected and sent into the DOJ as the Uniform Crime Report (UCR). It is common for manipulation to occur on these statistics when chiefs want to reduce the number of felonies they report. Baltimore City did the same trick years ago...burglaries become thefts, rapes can become assaults, robberies become thefts...in typical liberal fashion, Ireton blames the people...for being afraid! Even if this is a "perception" problem, the fault lies at the mayor's feet. Salisbury voters chose foolishly and continue to pay the price for their folly.

ReplyDeleteIt really not true, although that rumor does appear to make a fair amount of sense.
Crime stats are based solely on 3 measures: 1. The actual reporting of the crime from the community (aka, calling 911 or SPD), 2. the location of the crime, and 3. The type of crime that has occurred. I've worked long enough with crime stats to know that this is uniform across the board unless you are in Georgia or Nevada.
If you want to try and find fudging, look at these 3 places.
THE MAYOR IS TO BLAME FOR THAT POLICE INCIDENT AND THE THUGS DEATH ,WHY,? BECAUSE IF THE STAS WHERE NOT FUDGED SALISBURY WOULD GET MORE MONEY TO FIGHT CRIME INSTEAD OF THE MAYOR THINKING THIS IS A GREAT GAY COLLEGE TOWN FOR THERE KIDS,
