The
National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for
Wicomico County which is in effect from Wednesday evening February
25, 2015 at 10:00 PM until Thursday afternoon February 26, 2015 at
1:00 PM.
*Hazards:
Snow
*
Accumulation: Snow Accumulation is expected to be 2 to 3 inches
*Winds:
Northeast 5 to 10 MPH.
*Timing:
Light snow will overspread the region around midnight Wednesday and
increases in coverage and intensity overnight. The snow is expected
to taper off to light snow showers late Thursday morning.
Precautionary/Preparedness
Actions:
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause
travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities. Use caution while driving.

County Department of Emergency Services (DES)
The
DES is continuing to monitor the situation in conjunction with the
National Weather Service. Additional Weather Bulletins will be
issued if warranted.
Cancel school for at least another week. It's just going to be too dangerous!
