BREAKING NEWS: Major Meeting Being Held Right Now At The Chamber of Commerce

SHHHHH, we're not supposed to know,
BUT WE DO!

That's right Ladies & Gentlemen. Mayor Jim Ireton, Jake Day, Staff from Barbara Mikulski's Office, Wayne Strausburg and other dignitaries are right now in a meeting WITH SELECT PRESS, are gathering with a representative from Labinal.

Here's the deal. Since we were able to get notice in advance and since I didn't want to disturb the meeting, we had a device planted in the building so we can monitor what's going on.

Here's the bottom line. Remember the original Press Release I personally received from Labinol? The fact is, they clearly stated without any alteration exactly what their plans and intention is. Salisbury News never altered the release. It was published word for word.

So no matter what the Press says about this situation, this plant, (in their own words) is shutting down. Because particular LIBERALS have been exposed for their failure to stay on top of things, because they NEVER go to visit these businesses, they have NO CLUE as the the real pulse of business in the County. Now it's CYA.

All they are interested in is photo ops or ribbon cuttings and that's it.

So some time later today I will publish just what this meeting was about and the direction, (or lack thereof) they are heading.

Oh, by the way Ireton, Mikulski and Day,
"You've Been Blogged"

  2. Being face to face with those bozos will only reinforce Labinal's decision to shut down the plant and leave. In fact, it may serve to hasten that process.

  6. Liberals will just blow smoke up people's backside like they always do and give you some fluff story that they tried to keep the business here. Liberals are not business friendly no they care.

  11. The wanna be mayor and fake day only want to focus on is the window dressing that is going on downtown. There is not that much excitement downtown. A trolley to haul around the drunks and it doesn't even do that because nobody rides the damn thing. Not to mention raising property taxes and that stupid storm management fee. Putting some stupid bike path signs on a dangerous highway.A city council that is worthless. Liberals are taking your tax dollars and flushing them right down the toilet. Salisbury is well on its way to becoming the next Detroit!

  13. I really liked how in Ireton's address to the liberal media how he was basically only interested in keeping tax dollars coming into the city and basically had no remorse for the people who are about to be laid off let alone the ones who already had since the company downsized the local plant. The fact of the matter is that you local elected officials care nothing about you only what affects them.

  14. A lot of opportunities to buy foreclosed homes will come out of this,so all is not lost. The large retail stores will be just fine because of the large draw and main highway locations.Society will absorb this number of workers with no problem.People will beg borrow and steal to eat unless there is some alternative means of survival that I don't know about.Getting people to do my yard work will be a piece of cake.

  15. I did read somewhere (maybe on Gov Hogan's (I know he's not official yet, but I practicing calling him Governor, since MD hasn't had a real leader in some time) Change MD website or Facebook) that he was sending a team in as well as a financial expert today for a meeting. Maybe this is the meeting.

  16. 2:50, Not sure but I can tell you there's another massive situation business wise going on right now in the area and they are desperately trying to keep them here. It's a real mess what Culver has walked into and it's no wonder Pollitt didn't try to get reelected.

  17. Really 2:49 this is your take on the situation?

So who will be buying those foreclosed homes when no one has a job? Like Detroit.. empty cheap homes in nice neighborhoods are still vacant and ghetto.

I am sure they are not going to be able to pay for it with the pennies you will pay for lawn care service.

Large retail stores will be fine? Like the big ones that are closing? Is that the fine you mean?

Congratulation on winning the biggest ass of the day award.

I wish the same happens to you soon.

  18. No offense to you Joe, but why would MEDIA be invited to this meeting? Seems like a really dumb idea to me. It is likely the participants will be more guarded in their comments. Also, if they are allowing MEDIA - then allow EVERYONE. This stinks. Thought transparency was Strasberg's middle name....or is it only for a privileged few. Culver needs to can him, the sooner the better.

  23. I feel sorry for Culver, he has a mountain to climb. New things being uncovered everyday. Look at all the things Strasberg and Pollitt have covered up with the help of Creamer, Matt Holloway, Hall and Prettyman. They have ruined our county. Hope Culver's team gets rid of all those liars still on board, the obvious ones and the sneaky ones. Public needs to put pressure on Matt Holloway, Hall and Cannon to be REAL republicans and not RINOs.
