Main St Gym fights in Annapolis MD.

Three MainSt Gym Boxers were back in action Saturday evening (11/15/2014) in Annapolis MD.

Leading off for Main St Gym was 15 year old Renaldo Mesadieu, a student at Wi Middle School. Mesadieu outpointed his Hagerstown opponent in the heavyweight division, to garner the win in his debut bout.

Corey Moore a senior at Wi Hi took to the ring next dominating Jimmy Lawson of the Navel Academy in Annapolis.
The three round bouts had Moore ahead on all three score cards.

In Main St Gym’s third fight of the night, Ryan Watson, battled in the light-heavyweight open division. Although Watson landed cleaner shots, his Washington D.C. opponent out of the Woodlawn Boxing Gym was awarded the victory, with the judges seeing more punches scored by the Woodlawn fighter.

Coach Hal Chernoff commented on the night by saying, “it was a good night, we had not competed in a while and our guys were getting their competition feet back under them. Sparring in the gym is the best preparation, but it is still different than the actual bout. All three guys did very well and Ryan looked very sharp and composed, though he did not get the nod. I am very proud of all of them and they represented Salisbury and the Main St Gym in a big way. We now are looking at the next fight in Baltimore on Nov 29th at the Myers Pavilion. Then we will bring it back home for our Festival of Fights on Dec 13th at the Main St Gym. On that show we will have a “Guns and Hoses” part of the show where Firefighters will match up against Police Officers. “
