Officials of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange tell WBAL News that individuals can now enroll in private insurance plans through the website.
Enrollment began Tuesday, one day ahead of schedule.
Several officials, including Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer posted the news on Twitter.
Spokeswoman Betsy Charlow says the gradual roll out of the exchange over the last few days has gone well enough to allow individual enrollments to begin Tuesday. .
