Today's Survey Question 10-14-14

Do endorsements like the FOP,
BOE or Daily Times sway your vote?

40 comments:

  1. Not really. If anything it makes me less of organizations or businesses that do. Even more so if they're backing someone who I believe to be a scam or of poor character.

  2. No.. I could care less what agenda driven lobbyists or media types have to say on political issues.

  3. DT's - NO! They are not worth even a reason why from me.

National and state FOP's and other organizations that aren't local, a resounding- NO! Most of the membership is from the Western Shore and I DO NOT need THEM to tell ME who to vote for and I take offense that they would even try, as if we locals aren't capable of making good decisions for ourselves.

Local organizations whose members live and work in OUR communities and their children go to OUR schools and they pay taxes here, etc., YES I do take into consideration their political endorsements but it's not likely they alone would sway me one way or another as other factors are just as important to me.

  4. Not BOE or DT, but I would want to know why FOP endorsed the person.

  7. No and I dont think they "tell" you who the vote for. They just put out one sided info.

I did hear the F.O.P. met with Mayor Ireton and told him the cops at Salisbury City are sick of him and his liberal b.s. I guess collective bargaining is next for them. Joe what are you hearing on this

  27. During fundraisers they like to tell people the money donated to FOP goes to LEO's and their families in crisis. This couldn't be further from the truth, only a very small percentage goes to LEO victims and the rest is spent on administrative functions. I'm not saying not to support FOP, however, know that they are top heavy like every Union and most of that cash goes into politics and lobbyists.

  28. I have a Delaware state trooper in the family and he's the one who told me to give my donations to camp espa instead of the FOP. The camp is totally funded from donations and has all volunteer staff, nobody living a fat salary out of any of that money
