GANG UNIT RECOVERS DRUGS AND GUNS

(ELKTON, MD) – Members of the Maryland State Police Northern Region Gang Enforcement Unit arrested multiple suspects at an Elkton residence yesterday evening where crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, pills and firearms were recovered and kept from making it to the streets of Cecil County.

Brittaney Hall, 26, Christopher Everette, 28, and Douglas Heald, 43 all of the 100 block of Huntsman Drive, Elkton, Maryland, are being charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, heroin and prescription pills, as well as CDS distribution with a firearm, and drug trafficking with a firearm. They were arrested without incident and taken before a Cecil County Court Commissioner. Hall has been released after posting a $75,000 bail. Everett is being held on a $250,000 bond. Hearld is being held without bond pending extradition to Pennsylvania for an unrelated charge.

As the result of several weeks of investigation by the Northern Region Gang Enforcement Unit, a search and seizure warrant was obtained for the Huntsman Drive location. Just after 6:00 p.m. on October 29, 2014, the warrant was served. Several adults were at the location, and during the search of the residence investigators discovered large amounts of drugs and illegal weapons.

Recovered from the residence were 100 baggies of crack cocaine, over 26 grams of heroin, and over 90 suboxone pills. Also found during the search was one loaded handgun and two shotguns. The warrant was executed by members of the gang unit with the assistance of investigators from Maryland State Police Northeast Barrack and officers from the Elkton Police Department.
