A Letter To The Editor: Concerned About My Vote

I came across the article that the Wicomico civic center voter machines may have been tampered with or faulty. I voted this past Monday and I had machine #9. I did not review my votes before I removed my card. I am very upset to think that MY VOTE WONT COUNT, I feel we should be able to VOTE AGAIN. I am sure officals know which machines were at fault and the general public ESPECIALLY if you took the time to VOTE, should be notified and be aloud to do it again.

  1. I feel the same way and I want to make sure that Josh Hastings and Laura Mitchell does not get elected. They don't deserve my vote.

  2. I'm pretty sure everyone who voted early feels this way, or a majority of people do anyway.

  3. That's exactly why there were issues with the machines in the first place. If they weren't faulty in a way to change your vote, then they were faulty in a way that wouldn't cast your vote. Due to all the craziness regarding voter fraud, they most certainly won't let you vote again. Even though they probably could find out whether or not your vote went through. It's their way of ensuring the government is what they want it to be, even at the lowest levels. Welcome to America, where you're no longer free, and you'll suffer consequences if you're too brave.

  6. You would think that the since this only happens every few years that there would be ample time for testing the machines. There is no excuse for malfunctions. With that being said, it is the voters responsibility to verify his or her vote was cast correctly. It seems every election there is this clamoring about re-voting for one reason or another. If you don't take the two seconds to look and verify then don't complain and demand special treatment because you didn't do what you were supposed to do.

  10. You could show the government how you really feel and go in smash the machines with a hammer as an expression of your first amendment rights.
