Who is MY TURN TO COOK? There seems to be a lot of dollars being spent with them. How can we determine who and where they are?
ReplyDelete9:03 I'm guessing you have internet right? Lol
ReplyDelete^^^Catering business, run by a former WBOE employee as I am told.
ReplyDeleteMs's Drummond and Armstrong, like to put you on some scales and see if you measure up to Ms. Obamamama's strict regimen

ReplyDeleteThere are serious issues about the vast amounts of money spent on food by our board of ed. Your personal attacks on two employees are offensive and take the focus off the real concerns. Obviously the two employees did not eat all of the food charged to their pro cards. Keep your eye on the ball.
Maybe have you seen them. Just saying
ReplyDeleteJohn Fredericksen needs to be terminated. The board members that don't agree to that need to resign.
ReplyDeleteThese WCBOE meal expenditure posts need some context. Where is this money coming from? where/when/why are these meals being offered or consumed? Who, if anyone, is authorizing these expenditures? What is the mechanism for payment? Most people are not regularly fed by their employer, so these expenditures should induce some circumspection, but without any further explanation, investigation or reference to some other post, the numbers are meaningless.
ReplyDelete9:08. You would be correct but in researching My Turn To cook, their site has been taken down and the site is now available. I'm sure you are a WBOE worker bee, so why don't you tell us who owns the company and how they have gotten the big dollars from the WBOE.
ReplyDelete9:44, not a personal attack...a suggestion. Why so touchy?? My eye is always 'on the ball'. Just suggesting that they might have nipped off a few bites of what they purchased!
ReplyDeleteHow many people have these cards? It is unreal!!!Fredrickson needs to collect ALL of them an hold these people responsible for the abuse and replace them all with people who aren't ripping the county taxpayers off. There should be alot of openings at the WCBOE and if not there should be somebody to fire Fredrickson and then hold the person who's approving all this responsible.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone think Rick Pollitt needs to spend county money on food??? Does he look hungry??? He needs salads and Weight Watchers per my perception

ReplyDeleteA serious examination of how funds are spent is sidetracked by remarks about the eating habits of some of the employees. All of a sudden the blog becomes known for hurtful comments, thus providing an excuse to ignore all of the valid points made by other commenters. When leaders of an organization are looking for reasons to ignore fact-based criticism, it doesn't take much for them to hide behind.
Who is granted a card----How much are they allowed to spend on themselves-----how much goes for the children & why-----are accurate
ReplyDelete& detailed accounts available for the public to view---How long has
this been permissable----Did the Council OK this & etc. & etc.
Anybody got the answers??????????
Sherry Fisher is another double dipper. The last name says it all.Give me the free stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe council, like parents and other members of the public, asks for public information from the board of ed. Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteJust a reminder, NONE of this is going to classroom teachers
ReplyDeletePersonally, it's not the $900 Subway purchase here and there if it can be tied to a Student function that runs through a lunch or dinner time. The ones that irk me the worst are the $5 Starbucks, $24 Back Street Grill and all the other obviously single order charges for one lunch, breakfast, or coffee. This means no meeting was held, no county/ BOE business conducted; just a free meal glommed down on my dime.
ReplyDeleteAnd those add up on these lists!
908, a quick internet search turns up nothing on My Turn To Cook Salisbury MD. Maybe they scrubbed themselves pretty well off the internet for some "odd" reason.
ReplyDeleteI think My Turn to Cook is in Delaware.
ReplyDeleteSeems like this exposure does nothing to deter any of this out of control spending. Sharon morris you do not need a take home car no more than a man in the moon. Looks like you could at least clean it yourself after consuming taxpayer coffee daily not to mention almost daily market street lunches. Boy what nerve you and your Boss have to keep letting this go on
ReplyDeleteSimple answer to cure this problem -- elect Bob Culver this fall as County Exec.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%
DeleteTeachers given limited numbers of copies for student use; policies that discourage adequate substitute coverage (to save money); largely non-functional HVAC in many schools (for decades), and this is how our money is being spent???
ReplyDeleteHow about teachers teach instead of handouts and worksheets then u wouldn't need copies. How about teachers go to work and teach instead of taking off so dam much. I have three kids and I kid u not they have substitutes all the time. It is rediculous.
