Incident: Suspicious Vehicle
Date of Incident: 06/25/14 7:40 a.m.
Location: Tyler Avenue Salisbury, MD.
  
Narrative:

On June 25, 2014 around 7:40 a.m. a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office conducted a license registration check on a suspicious vehicle in the area of Tyler Avenue Salisbury, MD. The license registration check revealed the vehicle was reported stolen through the State of Delaware.

The deputy made contact with a subject who identified himself with a false name.The deputy continued his interaction with the male subject and learned he was wanted by the Maryland State Police, Fruitland Police Department and State of Delaware.

Suspect charged- False Statement, Obstructing and Hindering, 2 Bench Warrants other Agencies for FTA on traffic charges

Incident: CDS Possession
Date of Incident: 06/25/14 11:30 p.m.
Location: Hebron, MD

Narrative:

On June 25, 2014 around 11:30 p.m. deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Lillian Street and Main Street Hebron, MD.

The deputies made contact with the occupant of the vehicle and smelled an odor of marijuana emanating from the car. A search was conducted and led to the discovery of suspected marijuana.

Suspect Charged: Citation for Possession of Marijuana less than 10 grams.

Incident: Update
Date of Incident: 06/25/14 11:00 a.m.
Location: Salisbury MD

Narrative:

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is thanking the public for helping them identify two people suspected of stealing money and damaging goods from a produce stand located on South Division Street in Fruitland. The victim reported that sometime on 6-9-14 between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. two unknown suspects broke into a safe/ lock box where the victim keeps money for his produce stand and took at least $150 without permission.

On June 11, 2014, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office asked the public for help identifying two women suspected of stealing $150.00 worth of currency and destroying property of the produce stand. Tipsters contacted the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office with possible identities of the two women and even provided screen shots of one woman’s Facebook page. Deputies arrested Florence Virginia Lednum, 41, on June 25, 2014 for Theft and Malicious Destruction of Property. Deputies located Lednum hiding at a friend’s house underneath blankets in a bedroom. Lednum was processed into the Wicomico County Detention Center for multiple counts of theft and one outstanding warrant for FTA on CDS possession.

The homeowner was served with a criminal summons for hindering and hiding Lednum at her residence. Jenna Lynn Ennis is still wanted in connection with this incident and has one outstanding bench warrant through the State of Delaware.

  1. All well and good... but, they need to work on getting the heroin off the streets in Hebron, not pot. Someone must be getting greased, because they could be doing so much more there.

  4. I really don't care how many people get a citation for 10 grams or less. Nor do I care to read about every other tiny infraction that warrants a ticket and fine. There are bigger fish to fry, folks.
