Incident: WCSO Activity 25-27 March 2014

Location: Wicomico County

1. On 25 March 2014 at 11:45 PM a deputy arrested Robert Curtis Hoffmaster, 34 of Ocean City, MD, on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant. The warrant was issued after Hoffmaster violated the terms of
his probation following a theft conviction. Hoffmaster was detained without bond.

 2. On 27 March 2014 a deputy traveled to Philadelphia, PA to extradite Shaun A. Sanders, 34 of Philadelphia, PA, back to Wicomico County. Sanders was wanted on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant
that was issued after he violated the terms of his probation following a conviction in an Assault 2ndDegree case. Sanders was detained on a bond of $10,000.00.

3. On 27 March 2014 at 4:55 PM a deputy arrested Jennifer Lyn Waters, 34 of Salisbury, on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant. The warrant was issued after Waters failed to appear for a trial in an Assault 2nd
Degree case. Waters was detained on a bond of $5,000.00.

Incident: Burglary Arrest

Date of Incident: 26 March 2014

Location: 5000 block of Cumberland Drive, Parsonsburg, MD

Suspect: Jason Lee Vance, 30, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 26 March 2014 at 11:45 AM a deputy located Jason Lee Vance at an address in the 200 block of E. Church Street in Hebron and took him into custody in connection with a burglary case. In this case, Vance stands accused of entering a residence illicitly for the purpose of stealing a large jug that reportedly contained $3,000.00 worth of loose change. During the investigation, it was alleged that Vance became aware of the existence of the jug while inside the residence making a service call on behalf of a maintenance company. Suspicion focused on Vance after he returned unscheduled the following day to perform more maintenance, the same time the jug reportedly disappeared.

Upon arrest Vance was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in
front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Vance in the Detention Center in lieu of $25,000.00 bond.

Charges: Burglary 1st Degree
              Theft over $1,000.00

Incident: Possession of CDS

Date of Incident: 28 March 2014

Location: Nanticoke Rd at Deep Branch Road, Tyaskin, MD

Narrative: On 29 March 2014 at 10:40 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered that the driver, Robert Somers, had a suspended driver’s license. A WCSO Drug K9 team conducted a scan of the vehicle and during that scan the K9 alerted positively to the presence of the odor of illegal drugs. During a subsequent search, the deputy located what was identified as crack cocaine and marijuana. The deputy also located pills that were identified as oxycodone.

The deputy placed both Melson and Somers under arrest and transported them to the Central Booking
Unit. Upon their initial appearance, the Commissioner released both Melson and Somers on unsecured bond.

Date of Incident: 29 March 2014

Location: 26000 block of Siloam Road, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 29 March 2014 at 12:15 PM a deputy located Alisha Ann Mowery at a residence in the 26000 block of Siloam Road and arrested her on a District Court Bench Warrant. The warrant was issued after Mowery failed to appear for a case on March 24, 2013 where she was facing possession of CDS charges. Upon arrest, Mowery was discovered to be in possession of heroin which was recovered from her.

Mowery was transported to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the
District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Mowery in the Detention Center in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.

Incident: Assault

Date of Incident: 30 March 2014

Location: 600 block of N. Westover Drive, Salisbury, MD

Suspect: Dorrence L. West, 35, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 30 March 2014 at 12:15 AM, a deputy responded to a residence in the 600 block of N. Westover Drive for a reported altercation. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that the couple residing there had engaged in a verbal altercation when Dorrence West reportedly struck his girlfriend. During the investigation, the deputy observed signs of injury on West’s girlfriend.

The deputy placed West under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was
processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained West in the Detention Center in lieu of $5,000.00 bond.

Charges: Assault 2nd Degree

Incident: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Date of Incident: 29/30 March 2014 

Location: Wicomico County, MD
                                 
1. On 29 March 2014 at 11:21 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle operated by Mary Holsinger, 62 of Salisbury, after observing Holsinger strike a curb and drive erratically. The deputy subsequently arrested Holsinger for DUI. During processing, Holsinger provided a breath sample of .14 BAC.

2. On 30 March 2014 at 2:19 AM, a deputy stopped a vehicle operated by Scott E. Reddish, 28 of Salisbury, for an equipment violation. The deputy subsequently arrested Reddish for DUI. During processing Reddish provided a breath sample of .18 BAC.
