George Zimmerman’s Parents Sue Roseanne Barr For Tweeting Their Home Address

She claimed to be seeking justice, and that’s exactly what 2012 presidential nominee* Roseanne Barr is now getting. Only in this case, the long arm of the law may be coming upside her head.

According to the Orlando Sentinel Barr has been named in a lawsuit filed by the parents of George Zimmerman, who say they were forced to flee their Lake Mary, Fla., home in the middle of the night and were unable to return after the comedienne posted their address on Twitter.

Robert Zimmerman Sr. and Gladys Zimmerman filed suit Monday in state circuit court, accusing Barr of trying to incite “a lynch mob to descend” and carry out “vigilante justice.”

  1. Good, let the butt hurt flow through her. She is one whacky bird, how she is "famous", I have no idea.

  2. In order to be famous, one must either be immensely talented or not talented at all.She falls in the latter group.

  4. Doesn't it kind of seem to you like Ms. Zimmerman addmits knowing exactly what justice should have been.

  5. Tweeting what is otherwise public knowledge or obtainable through public means is not a crime. Good luck proving intent to incite mob justice.

    Waste of time.

And yes Rosanne is a wacky lady.

This is a civil suit which a 1st year law student could win. Barr may very well have committed a crime. While the info is public, any and all public information is not to be used to harass, intimidate, etc and if it is, then it's a criminal offense.

I don't think it will be that hard at all, to a REASONABLE person.

  10. 4:05 PM& 4:11 PM Well if it will be so easy then go ahead and show me you know what you are talking about. But, this is so open and shut and I am the idiot because I believe otherwise.

    Let'er rip.

How do I go about 'showing' you an opinion? And a common sense one at that?

Just like when Spike Lee got in trouble for tweeting the WRONG address, you don't think this is the same thing?

How about this, you self proclaimed idiot, you prove how it is so open and shut, and you know what you are talking about.

I do believe you are correct on one issue. Can you guess which?

Not only that, but a passive-aggressive one too.

  13. In civil cases, the plaintiff has the burden of proving his case by a preponderance of the evidence.

Quoting part of the Tweet-"If Zimmerman isn’t arrested I’ll rt (re-tweet) his address again — maybe go 2 his house myself."

Unless Barr intended for people to go to the home to have a peaceful prayer vigil for the Z. family or to send them flowers or fruit baskets then she is screwed.

Even if this were criminal where burden is beyond a reasonable doubt, no one can reasonably concluded her intentions weren't anything but malicious.

Yes. She did it as a joke but it was disgusting and came back to bite her in her fat ass.

  19. The idiot.

I am not arguing the merits of what she did, you are. Common sense tells most people that this is a stupid thing to do. If you read my post it says

Tweeting what is otherwise public knowledge or obtainable through public means is not a crime. Good luck proving intent to incite mob justice.

Can you dispute anything I said specifically? No you can't. But you want to spout your opinion likes it the holy word and then brow beat anyone that disagrees? Nice tactic. Grow up and learn how to read for comprehension and not read for what you want or expect to see.

asking a question is being owned? no, I think that is an attempt to misdirect when no answer can be given. I am so tired of dealing with 4th grade mentalities like you display.
