ReplyDeleteMy daughter works there. It's a bomb threat.
ReplyDeleteIts probably Edwin Fletcher using this as a distraction to get out of town.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's a drill!!
ReplyDeleteDrill? Crime is down per Jim Ireton, why interrupt these businesses making money to train his over paid police force?
DeleteAwesome job Joe!!!!! WBOC didn't send out an alert or warning until 11:27am. You beat them again!
ReplyDeleteWBOC was watching this blog and someone there put it up for a change
ReplyDeleteWhat is Mayor Liarton gonna tell us this time? There is No Gangs in "da Bury"?
ReplyDeletePull your ur Head Out of the Sand and Do Something About It, Jimbo Clown
WMDT just found out! Joe, you are the best!
ReplyDeleteMall security got this handled! Steve Smith is on the case!
ReplyDelete11:40 Haha, yeah... they will "handle" it.
ReplyDeleteProbably publicity for Gander Mtn, since their business is going down under.
Looks like Pagano in that pio!
ReplyDelete#WhySBY?
ReplyDeleteCuz I wanna die?
And get Bury'd?
Rumor going around that some guy called in b/c he said his cousin was bragging he had placed a bomb at the mall. RUMORS
ReplyDeleteEvacuated? Also known as a lawful order to "leave". Depending on the exact location, verbal commands given by the police (public servants), and the number of police in a certain area...this could be construed as a "lawful detention" of ones civil liberties. Were the "shoppers" (aka law abiding citizens) free to leave? We're they IN FACT being detained? Very good possibility there could be several lawsuits out of this incident. I hope Somebody has video footage of the chaos caused by the police who were there to "protect and serve"
ReplyDeleteReally....that wasn't a very good eduducated guess. Everyone may have there predictions...but safety should always come First! No matter how you look at it!
DeleteEveryone is still being detained.
ReplyDeleteThat's false, my wife was in Mall left when she was asked to and was able to get in her car and leave the mall parking lot without incident.
ReplyDeleteIf people are still detained it is because they can't get to their car's or they are employee's
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Bury lol. High crime rate businesses closing left and right. Well on their way to becoming the next Detroit
ReplyDeleteLol so true a relative of mine works at famous Dave's and there closings this week
Delete1:06 You are a complete idiot!
ReplyDeleteThe Bury sounds like an excellent place to raise a family
ReplyDeletehow is it they have NOT traced the phone call yet - or maybe they have and it is not a hoax
ReplyDeleteEITHER WAY they should let us know
We need Batman...for real.
ReplyDeleteI wish it would be awesome
Delete1:41 Wee need more Gunmen!!! Forget the fictitious characters, allow open carry, and watch this crap go bye-bye.
ReplyDeleteJust watch, now we will have a iraq war truck patrolling 50 and 13 now...
ReplyDelete2:13 Another huge black & tan SUV heading south to the mall with full light package flashing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many people got run off the road between DC and Salisbury today? Safety first!!
ReplyDeleteThe comment about Gander Mountain going under , if it does , you must realize why. Democrats = hate guns , all guns. Hate small business , hate growth through capitalist system , just hate everything about the success of America.
ReplyDelete3:00 you forgot the ridiculously prohibitive Democrat TAXES!
ReplyDelete3:00 and 3:13
ReplyDeleteyou both failed to mentioned their extremely high prices! Nobody's fault but their own if they go under.
You can buy online, pay for shipping and still get what you want well under their prices.
I heard they are sending mall employees home.
ReplyDeleteI like Gander Mountain, in response to some of the remarks above. I prefer having someone to answer questions and to be able to see what I am buying. It's similar to what Joe said about self-service checkout at grocery stores. I shop local when I can and when there isn't a small business go to a local chain. At least I am helping to support employment in Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteGander is leaving when their lease is up in December.
ReplyDeleteI went by the Mall an hour ago, and all of the restaurants in front of it are also evacuated.
Yup, this is going to soon be just like Detroit, lots of crime, and vacant businesses!
Joe: What is the status now? I need to get some things from Victoria's Secret.
ReplyDelete5:13 go to the new sex shop on Business 13, the mall is closed.
ReplyDeleteDid they contact the Mayor -- by calling him in Rehobeth?
ReplyDeleteIt is getting like Detroit. Cambridge too!
ReplyDeleteSo will we ever know what is really going on here?
ReplyDeleteIndeed not really buying the story they published.
ReplyDeleteYou do not close a Mall for that many hours because of one prank call.
Not sure Joe gets the press releases from Dorchester Co. or not but when was the last time Cambridge had a bomb threat, bank robbery, UC warrant service go bad and a MSP officer killer a suspect duet the odor of weed all in a week?
ReplyDeleteThe Rouse corporation now owns the mall, it wouldn't surprise me that a corporate minion is looking for an easy out to close that property down and build something else. Who would benefit the most from the deed of shutting the place down?
