Forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical. Did they buy a new piece of equipment this week that can help them get that much closer to reality? Or is this just another expensive guessing game? How much snow do YOU think we'll get overnight?
I think 4 to 8 might be accurate. Accuweather has changed it forecast for our area. I trust them more that our local weather forecasters. They try to put a positive spin on the forecast and try to down play the situation so I don't totally trust them to to be accurate. They seem to be more interested in how businesses may be affected than how people will be affected.
5:49, They could be spot on, I don't know. I have two gallons of milk, two loaves of bread, 36 eggs, (thanks to our chickens) a pellet stove to stay warm, (really warm) and rabbit ears to catch any updates locally if our TV goes out. ;-)
My theory about snow for the past 40+ years is this: If it's coming from the west, expect half the forecasted amount. If it's coming from the south, expect double the forecasted amount. Usually that theory works out. I'm not expecting 5-8 inches in Salisbury, but do expect a couple inches in West Wicomico. Pocomoke and south will probably get that 5-6". I guess we'll know by morning!!!!
Don't believe anything Satterfield and WBOC reports. They are the pits!! He didn't come from the National Weather Channel to Smallsbury cause he is good people!
The 4.8 was reported last night at about 11:30 when we already had 3 to 4 inches. What about the entire day when they were predicting 1 to 2. Spot on, huh? Dont think so.
