I love it! Just about everyone knows the beat to Stayin Alive. But you know, the famous line dance in Saturday Night Fever was done to Night Fever. I know because I had a prominent spot in the dance and was an uncredited dancer in the movie. John Badham the producer, insisted on using locals who frequented 2001 Odyssey Club in Bay Ridge (Brooklyn) to dance. Lighted floor was added for the movie and was hard to dance on then the previous floor which was metal. It was owned by a man named Mr Resnick. After the movie, the 2001 because a tourist attraction which ultimately ruined it. It went on to become a gay bar until it closed and was torn down.
Just as long as they don't do that when they respond to a fire.Imagine a house on fire and people jumping out of the windows while these Travolta wannabe's were dancing to Stayin Alive.
2:43 PM - Always have at least one smart mouth on every post Jerks of your caliber would do better to read or watch complete postings or videos before inserting foot and being a fool. I learned something new from this video - did you? Probably not as you were too busy dissing firemen to even understand that the volunteers were teaching.
Even if they were paid, it was well worth it. This is the type of public service info that will stay with people as yes, just about everyone knows the beat to Stayin' Alive. Whomever came up with this could have a career in marketing.
This post is misleading as is any production from a firefighter or fire department struggling to survive. The only thing they do better than EMS is promote their job security. Paramedics are the ones that really save lives. Don't let this misleading video cause you to believe firefighters are more important than paramedics and EMS. Notice there was never an EMS unit on the "scene" but there were 3 ladder trucks. Not reality and shouldn't have happened. Looks like a video the Salisbury Fire Department would like to produce and promote. FAKE.
615, I think you have a point. 3 ladder trucks, 20 firemen, smoke in the video, and not even as much as a fire extinguisher is deployed. This is centered around an EMS call where an ambulance should be mandatory first responders and doing the job that the firemen were shown doing.
10:02, yes, I learned to save a life today as well. I also learned that firefighters are trained in CPR, but then again, so are police officers and construction superintendents. So, when you have your heart attack, I'll be happy to call the local construction company for you. God forbid there be an ambulance show up for you.
So that's what paid firemen do with all that free time on the clock???

If they are volunteers that is great…what they do on their own time is fine.
