Do you have a talent that America needs to see?
Your chance to gain fame for your ability can be one step closer when NBC's "America's Got Talent" holds an open casting call at the Baltimore Convention Center on Jan. 30. Those who audition get 90 seconds to showcase a talent in front of judges Howard Stern, Mel B., Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.
The judges, with some help from host Nick Cannon, will decide who moves on to the next round of the competition. The winner of the show gets $1 million and the opportunity to launch a career in show business.
"America's Got Talent" Executive Producer Jason Raff told The Avenue News that he expects several thousand people to show up at the open casting call in Baltimore.

The best amateur talent I ever saw was in about 1940 and was Le Petomane. Unfortunately, he was French and probably wouldn't be understood in today's world.
ReplyDeleteMy Wife has a beautiful singing voice, (most don't know that) and I can't sing a tune to save my life. Every time we see these auditions on TV I look at my Grandson and say, I need to go audition. He just starts cracking up, (as he should). Then I'll sing a tune in my Jerry Lewis voice and he starts cracking up. Those who have it, God Bless them. I was blessed, well, whatever. ;-)

ReplyDeleteRight place right time.The greatest singers who ever lived may have lived their entire lives without being discovered.That's the same with a lot of specific talents.At least AGT gives more people a chance to be heard.

Baltimore is a very good place to hold these auditions. Every murder victim anymore was "an aspiring rap artist."
