A Viewer Writes...

Just thought you'd like to see how county money is spent. Maintenance Manager Rick Hairr spending over an hour at Buffalo wild wings when his employees must clock in and out within 45 mins or be written up.

  1. That was a business meeting. With wings. About maintaining the wing fryer. Which is in the county. There is nothing to see here.

  2. Just how little of a life does someone have to just sit around waiting for a salaried county manager to finish lunch, just to see how long it takes for him to eat? Depending on time of day, it can take a while to be seated, then order, and then to be served your food. After that, one has to then eat. It is no crime to take an hour to eat at a restaurant. Maybe it was one of those employees that only gets 45 minutes for lunch that took an hour to spy on their boss....

  3. I love these posts... watching the excuse makers crawl out of their basement.

But....butttttt..... maybe he was abducted by pygmy ghosts, and and and then they thought he was the wing maker, and ummmmmmm yeah, they wanted his secret recipes. Have you thought of that? huhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?

    Morons.

  5. i commend the person who took this picture and sent it in to joe!

these so called "public servants" need to be held accountable for this "sense of entitlement" they have.

and lets not forget the fact that he drove to the restaurant in that brand new ford f-150 with the cap on it $$$$$$

    1. Eating lunch is a"sense of entitlement? " I hope my employer don't get wind of this cause I eat lunch too. And that vehicle he drives? Do you realize that there are schools that he is probably responsible for range from mardella clear down to Pittsville? I agree, us taxpayers should probably get him a moped to drive. Instead of inciting riots, do something constructive to help these people. Just my two cents worth.

  9. That parking lot is packed! There was probably a 45 minute wait just to get in...

    1. Yeah. .. You can really see how "packed" the place is by the number of cars parked in the parking lot. The idiot that took this picture and sent it should have been smart enough to photo shop some cars in the picture before claiming how"packed" it was. Come on people, instead of critiquing the people that work to teach and care for our students, let's get behind them when they do good jobs. Geesh.

This is the only sensible comment on this post. Everyone else needs to chill.

  13. Maybe the guy posting this picture used to work for the board of ed as a carpenter and was "CHASEd" off by this wonderful new maintenance manager who is no longer tolerating BS......Oh wait....

If only Rick had supervisors to answer to who knew where he was.....Oh Wait...

Maybe someday all of the disgruntled unhappy slack carpenters will leave and go work at the prison....Oh wait ...

    1. Lol. Sounds like this guy might be finally getting some things fixed over there. If I Ever see him there, I might buy him lunch myself. Finally, someone with some strength. Cut the fat, bring in more integrity. I hope you enjoyed whatever you had for lunch, you probably deserve dessert too.

  14. Probably used his comp time guys! Give him a break. lol All the big wigs in county get comp time! You know those salaries the DT posted awhile back? They didnt show comp time. If you include comp time the folks at WyCC get about 5-8 weeks off paid because they comp hours thye say are overtime. Its a little loophole worth thousands each year! Also very crooked! Hey Joe- bet you can locate those public records too?? I'd love to see the "documented" comp time of those folks!!

  16. sounds like "someone" doesn't like "the man"

I wonder how hold the person who posted this is? 20? If he left that gravy train that is the board of ed he cant be very smart...

    1. Well I'm sure it was for recreation. And he was parked. What's wrong with supporting local business? Ha ha. What do you do? Drive around looking for country vehicles? You are a sad sad person. Don't use up all your gas, the next check won't be in your mailbox until the first of the month. I love reading this stuff. Thanks Joell!

  18. I work at this place... If diet coke impairs your driving, he was way over the limit. The 40 minutes he was there he drank three whole glasses of diet coke. He should be ashamed.

  19. Drama Drama Drama, i don't see what the problem is, i am guessing he is salery not hourly, he rides all over the county anyway going from school to school. If his bosses had a problem with it i would assume they would handle it. iI really do not think he would have a beer with lunch. i am guessing he get's an hour for lunch. i also wonder how many times he works late or comes in early? not getting paid extra. i am not sure what the problem is.

  20. i dont know who THAT guy above was who said HE was with Rick...I WAS!!!

and we were doing vodka body shots on the 350lb waitress for WAAAY more than an hour.

  21. Rick is a big bully and a waste of our tax payers' dollars and he should join the ranks of the good people he got rid of and see what life is really about.

atleast Rick stayed in the county.. as i understand it Rick got rid of the guy who took this picture because he routinely drove his county van all over the eastern shore instead of getting work done.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Man, too bad for this guy he quit I hear Rick hands out gold bullion for christmas bonuses now (paid for by the taxpayers ofcourse)
Enjoy guys.. you work hard...some of us are proud of what you do.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Rick, quit being immature and posting about this. No one respects you, you know that for a fact. You often spend long lunches with your sidekick. This isn't an isolated incident, you know it and I know it. And then you put a tracking device on everyones vehicle but your own and we all know why that is. You are out sick at least once or twice a month, yet dont wasn't to let your employees take time off that they earned. You are verbally abusive and have also threatened physical abuse. Since the BOE us looking at waste, they should start with you.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Funny how he feels the need to defend himself. If he wasnt in the wrong, why bother?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah 5:07, because you know exactly who he was and what he was drinking. Well, I guess you would if your name is RICK.

    ReplyDelete
  27. or maybe 9:22, there were only two people in the place all morning and only one of the tables had a wcboe badge. funny thing is, this was posted at 11:55 and we opened at 11am not sure how that computes to taking OVER an hour for lunch.. but whatever, lies make people feel better

  28. saw some wycc workers a month or so ago at harmon field one was sitting on the bleachers when another was in a truck dragging the ballfield.this went on for 45 minutes plus

    ReplyDelete
  29. And the other table was the whistle blower? How convenient is that?

    ReplyDelete
  30. That is a WCBOE truck and not a County truck. Two entirely different entities.

  31. 7:04 sounds like one of the ... newly unemployed. ask yourself 7:04 if he was doing all those bad things you are accusing him of, who would be unemployed him or you?....move on please, you have a family that is depending on you to take care of them.

  32. As a tax payer of this county and a parent of kids in the school and someone that has been following the BOE and the money they spend every year, i am thankful to see the changes Rick is making. That was a broken dept. for so may years and now it is a work in progress. I would like to say thank you to Rick keep up the good work, the guys under you that don't like it can always go find a new job somewhere if it is that bad. there are other depts. at the board that could use your help.

  33. My bet is that all posts touting the greatness of Rick are courtesy of Rick. And out of the mass exodus at the maintenance department, how many have you actually had the gonads to fire? Don't act like you are taking care of business. They have just found that the pay offered doesn't compensate for the abuse they get.

  34. posting pictures and lies about people anonymously, then complaining about the anonymity of the people responding....classic. If you dont like your trash talk anonymous then man up and address your concerns in person.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Joe people need to realize county, city, etc are doing business and or must eat and maybe on call requiring to drive their company vehicle to be available quickly when called.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Somebody is eating lunch, Oh the humanity!

    ReplyDelete
  37. If that was at lunchtime, why is the lot empty?

    ReplyDelete
  38. There are absolutely no liquor stores on Naylor Mill Road. Where do you get your information. There are no other cars in the lot here, indicating off hours, not open.

    Did you have a question?

Normal business hours, it's hard to find A PARKING PLACE.

  39. This entire thread is petty and pathetic.
