INCIDENT Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct
BRIEF NARRATIVE: On the above date and time, a Trooper from the Salisbury Barrack responded to a citizen complaint of a subject wearing a blue jacket lying in a ditch. Upon arrival the Trooper contacted a subject fitting that description standing on the corner of Rt. 13 @ Zion Road who was identified as Glen Steven Strople, 56, with no fixed address. After further investigation, Strople was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Strople was taken to the Wicomico County Detention Center where he is awaiting a hearing with the District Court Commissioner.
So this guy was drunk at 9:20am, guessing this must be the same guy that holds up the sign saying he is homeless to get donations while cars are stopped at that light.
ReplyDeleteSee where your money goes people.
Is this the homeless guy who walks around downtown frequently and hangs out in some of the buildings down there? He's got a blue jacket and the age sounds about right.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that this is a whole different sub-culture than the guys who beg for money. That is a business unto itself. Those guys are calculated and know what their next meal is coming from. This guy is one of the lost souls who is not being treated for mental illness and is self medicating. That is my guess. Obamacare will take him in and fix everything.
ReplyDeleteHomeless people already get free medical care 12:53. Obamacare has nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess we all could have been charged at one time or another with public intoxication or disorderly conduct. I would feel much better if he were charged with WWI (Walking While Intoxicated) or SWI (Standing While Intoxicated)!! Wow, public safety at its best. I guess the MSP is doing a good job for keeping the WWI and SWI offenders in line when one mile away open air drug dealing and prostitution are the norms of the day! Glad my tax dollars are doing such a great job. Keep up the good work because it makes my family feel so much safer knowing these WWI & SWI offenders are being policed so vigorously!!! And yes, I'm a pissed off taxpayer to say the least. By the way, how much is it costing us to house one of these dangerous WWI or SWI offenders at WCDC???? Now I know why the open air prostitution and drug dealing exists in Wicomico County. No fear for real criminals when our police are out wasting valuable time rounding up drunks who pose no apparent danger to the community!
ReplyDeleteIs he the one with the professionally painted designer nails from the salon? That's his usual spot, but then again, they rotate. Mr. Home Depot is now stationed @ Chick Filet!
ReplyDeleteThey need to tag some of these college students who are not only publicly drunk, but are under age too.
ReplyDeleteI saw a drug deal "go down" in dollar tree in Fruitland on Sunday morning
ReplyDelete7:13 ....really what did u do...smh
ReplyDeletebut it's okay for a mayor to do it
ReplyDeleteFormer Chief Dykes and Mayor Martin would have never let the number of these bums get to the level that they are now. Rights or no rights they would have been given the option for a ride out of town or jail. Most of them took the ride.
