  3. The election cyle is a while off. A good time for a low crime story. Cooking the books is alive!

  4. Funny. If this was a "crime is up" story, there would be dozens of comments. No one here knows how to respond to good news.

  5. 4:49 no one is responding because it is a lie and the numbers are being manipulated.

  6. Oh 5:52. I see your point. When numbers are up they are true. When they are down it's a lie. Makes perfect sense.

  7. i have said it before, now they get pbj's and they are not counted in crime statistics, 20-30 years ago they did give out pbj's unless you had a connection. same in schools you misbehaved you got suspended and now a bad kid gets sent to the office and the office sends then back to class because suspensions give the school a lower grade and that means less money for the school.

  8. You guys all believe it when it is bad news. Kind of like when gas prices rise it is all Obama's fault. Prices are down.....silence.

  9. There have been several dozen armed robberies, this year alone. I am not sure how that equates to a down turn in crime. How many banks were robbed? How many convenient stores were robbed?
They do not record crimes, such as vandalism, trespassing, etc. Easy way to skew your numbers.
You believe what you want, I will continue to live in reality.

  12. 8:46: Gas prices are down? Down to what? Only $2.00 more than 5 years ago ?

  14. So check this out, Duncan started in Nov 2010. If you look at the chart from my earlier post, you will see a big drop in numbers from when she took over and when Webster was in office.
300 less violent crimes in 1 year... I don't think so. And an additional 200 less the next year...Absolutely not.
LEO does not control violent crimes, they control statistics.
    It's a numbers game people.
Your demographics have not changed, but your chief and the way crimes are handled and documented have changed.
