The Worcester County Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC) is sponsoring a parent information night to explain how common core will affect your children. The invitation promises we will learn how the Common Core Standards will:
Create consistent learning goals that target reading and math skills for all students.
Design instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of all students.
Develop independent learners with the 21 century skills to be college and/or career ready for all students.
Please attend and come prepared with some tough questions. Even if you don't have children currently enrolled, as a taxpayer you are paying for this one size fits all curriculum and are entitled to attend and get answers.
