If you’re tuned into pop culture (and maybe even if you’re not), you know that ex-Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus gave an eye-popping, gasp-inducing, slack-jaw-prompting, confounding performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night.

    I do my best to shelter my children from such garbage. It is hard to parent well when there is so much in your face these days. TV is limited and censored. Yes I said censored. It is a parents responsibility to make sure children don't emulate such white trash.
