N.C. Woman Who Was Face Behind Anti-Smoking Ads Dies Of Cancer
Terrie Hall, whose voice box was removed years ago, died at the age of 53 after being featured in graphic anti-smoking ads that up until the end labeled her a 'public health hero' by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Her story is sad. Truly. But don't look for changes in the sale of a product that kills 500,000 Americans EVERY YEAR (!!). Every year. The tobbacco lobby pumps hundreds of millions of dollars into Congressional campaign coffers EVERY YEAR. So, Congress looks the other way. Representing us, you know. CONCERNED for the health and welfare of citizens. Only the ones with money, though. There isn't enough bleach and water to wash the blood off their hands....
I was at a fast food shop the other day and all the young (20-30s) employees were taking a smoke break. Can you image someone not knowing what they are doing to their body after all the press on the subject. It is a choice. The lady in the ad died supporting a cause... a good cause. RIP
RIP.....THANK YOU FOR CONVINCING PEOPLE TO STOP SMOKING.
