MSP Radar

Joe,

The MSP is running a big radar trap just before coming into Princess Anne MD. They are even using a portable tree stand with the trooper shooting the radar. It is at the last 2 emergency crossovers before coming out of the woods.

  1. I Saw this on my morning drive into Crisfield. They had about 5 cars pulled over and were jumping in front of traffic. I watched as a tractor trailer swerved and almost caused a huge accident from all of the activity. This is horrible for officer safety and the safety of people on the road. MSP should be ashamed of this ridiculous situation.

  2. this really ticks me off. I was just in Pittsville with a friend and we were discussing all the drugs in this very small community. all the law enforcement groups know about the drugs and drug dealers there and yet they turn a blind eye.

Pittsville isn't the only community dealing with this, and I know the samething is taking place in those communities. What Gives???

  5. The Police do not care about drug users, pushers or dealers. They want to generate tax dollar money.

  6. What do you expect from Tax Collecting Fancy Dressed SS Patrol! Makes me sick when the crime is as high as it is on the Eastern Shore! Patrol the Shore Stops so they can stop the robberies!!

  7. It is about collecting money from you hard working speeders trying to get to work and run errands.

  8. 1:31PM, what's the easiest way to find drugs and lock up drug dealers? Oh yeah, it's traffic stops and pulling them over. However, if MSP saturated Pittsville with that purpose you would blow a gasket. If you don't want the police to fix problems then stop complaining about the problems.

These boys only like doing traffic stops, that's where the revenue is. Like to see that smokey on the tractor try to catch me!

  11. the push for traffic stops comes from the top down. the road guys have to get to the numbers expected or they lose their cars! or for more "persuasion" i heard the took the immediate supervisor's cars to pressure their subordinates into bcoming highway "Nazi's"!

  14. FYI - every ticket they issue is no good. The Officer that writes the ticket has to be the one doing the RADAR. If you go to court the ticket is inadmissible because t is hearsay.
Even if the other officer then shows up because a legal document as filled out charging papers then the officer is guilty of filling out a false document unless both signatures are on it.
This is illegal under MD LAW! But no one wants to tell a cop he is breaking the law.
I got a ticket last year on RT 50 from a trooper in a cherry picker. We went to court in Snow Hill and Mr Laws got me off on this very argument!

  15. Actually he is checking his speed while cutting grass in the median strip. This is O'Malleys new directive on state employees multitasking.

  16. Yes, It is a TRAP!! How are we supposed to know what those white signs with black numbers and says M.P.H. under them are supposed to be. We should be able to decide what laws are okay to follow and which are not. Therefore it is a trap.

  17. Yes. A trap. There is no way out.

  18. 5:35pm, you are very wrong. The radar operator is summonsed on the citation and comes to court. The operator testifies against the violator. Nothing illegal or hearsay about it.

  19. Yeah its a trap lol. I guess the police were driving the vehicle for you. Personal responsibility people. YOU break the law EVERY time you drive a car.

  20. @5:35pm you are 100% incorrect..

  21. Slow Down and take their fun away.Who wants to get to Princess Anne any faster anyways.
Although I understand it's probably more about getting out of Salisbury than getting to Princess Anne.

  22. Its insulting that the SS troopers think its funny to dress up and disguise themselves. Why don't they wear their normal off-duty garb --- a silk dress, high heels, and some rouge. Then, at least all their cop buddies would be able to recognize them, as in "hey Bob!! Didn't you wear that same dress at the awards dinner last week?" Break the law, pay the price. But DO NOT act like its some funny game as you collect much needed revenue for your Mafia bosses, who probably resent the fact that YOUR dresses look better than theirs.
