Del., Md. Officials Say Bridge Safety A Priority

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Some bridges in Delaware and Maryland that need repairs could collapse if a single, vital component fails. But officials say motorists don't need to worry about bridge safety in the two states.

A nationwide review by The Associated Press identified almost 7,800 bridges nationwide that are considered both "structurally deficient" and "fracture critical."
