A Letter To The Editor 9-18-13: Surgeons

Given everyone's concerns about jobs, I thought this study featuring Salisbury would make a positive news story.
Salisbury got ranked #15 in this national study on the Best Cities for Surgeons to work. I think residents and future surgeons alike would find this fun and useful news to know about the city - hope you'll share the study and link!

  1. Who published and paid for the study? It certainly wasn't an objective list, I can tell that from the jump.

  2. Well, this might be true, but the "surgeon" may want to know that he will be the only one in the surgery room. Everyone else has been laid off. Sorry, no pesky anesthesiologists, nurses aids, whatever; you're on your own!

  3. ha ha this is so ridiculous
Salisbury is a great city for surgeons to work, but with all the layoffs at the only hospital in Salisbury who is going to prep the patient, assist the surgeon, clean the OR, etc, etc.
    One man show I guess.

Ever hear of RNs? Are you two that stupid to think that a single surgeon would operate all by himself?

Maybe you are. Why else would you say something so ridiculous?

  6. MS PIGGY, UM I MEAN DR PEGGY, PROBABLY PAID FOR THIS STUDY

BUY A ROBOT OR TWO AND SPEND MONIES ON AN OUTSIDE ANESTHESIA GROUP AND THEN HAVE NO MONEY TO STAFF YOUR CLERICAL AND TECH POSITIONS

LAY OFF STAFF SO THAT SURGEONS OPERATE ON THE SAME PEOPLE OVER AND OVER AGAIN WITH NO INSURANCE--WITH LENGTHIER TURNOVER TIMES

    SOUNDS GREAT

  7. I wish PRMC all the best. I pray they get their act together because this is the only local hospital for many needs. Where will we be without PRMC? I would like to be able to go to Anne Arundel or Hopkins for everything BUT in a crisis that is not possible. Pray that this hospital improves!!! Thank you to this blog for keeping the issue alive.
