Babies don't bring in the big bucks...another example about not worrying about the community but their precious bottom line. Babies have no voice...THIS is where you sharpen your pencil????...DISGRACEFUL.
Caught some sort of staff when went to emergency room one sunday 3am..for kidney stones..they put me in a station and the cleaning lady came in n started cleaning up...first hint ...then nurse came in gave me pain shot ....days later get major puss filled csysts painful.....
by the way; mrsa and other staff infections are currently being treated in this country and around the world with "medical grade honey". yes; honey. please google this and see for yourself.
as for PRMC; nasty, poorly run, many sub-standard employee's and not my hospital of choice...
This so called hospital is nothing more than a very low class hotel or motel. It's so obvious that they have a reputation of less than desirable. Please people do your research , CNA's run the place at very low wages . If you want to die or don't care about life , then please accommodate this facility.
That's a decision by the State and shouldn't be gloated over by anyone here on this side of the bridge. Pray for those family's that now have to go so far during a bad time
C Diff is a bad disease esp for the elderly (My Mom died of C Diff sepsis at PRMC)Everyone at PRMC depends solely on Pump hand sanitizer!!! Rarely wash hands Note C Diff is not killed by hand sanitizer.... Need to go back to basics: Wash your hands!!! Clean surfaces with Bleach....Maybe infection rates will go down!!!!
When will you morons wake up? If PRMC were to fail there won't be much left to keep Salisbury alive as its on life support now! The end is near for this area unless something really works.
why did they lose this designation? What is the truth behind the story? Was it due to infections... or just the lack of qualified staff or doctors who deliver. Does anyone know?
Are you freakin nuts? Taking Perdue out of here takes at minimum 10,000 jobs. You have got to be a come here that doesn't like the smell of chicken farms or the chicken plant.
Dear 10:14 You gotta be kidding me , if you are depending on a hospital to keep the city going , you have bumped your head. This isn't even considered to be a healthcare facility anymore. It's introduction the morgue.
This is nothing more than a business , it has failed to be competitive . Other hospitals have offered the following: 1. better nurses 2. better doctors 3. better CNA's 4. better administrative work 5. much better emergency care 6. better housekeeping 7. less staff infections 8. much better social services 9. better parking 10. better everything
Stop calling people "morons"! The people who are commenting on these posts about the quality problems at PRMC are not pushing for the institution to shut down. But what they are pushing for is a hospital with higher quality care, better doctors and staff, better management and more accountability! There are so many people venting about the hospital because PRMC fails to meet the mark in so many ways. In reality there are not many forums that one can engage in open discussion on this topic. PRMC "owns" this town including almost all the business leaders and certainly all of the media. Maybe the voices of those who comment will be heard by someone of power and influence who actually cares! The hospital, with half a billion dollars in revenue is such a large institution and they use that size to intimidate. But when (if ever) changes are made to improve the hospital it will be in a much better position to truly serve the community not just provide lip service. And Salisbury will be a better place to live.
I experienced first hand the wrath of an RN when I asked her to please wash her hands before touching me. She had come in the room from I don't know where and just wanted to start doing whatever. I said, I did not see you wash your hands, and her comment was, I washed them before I came in here. Well good for her, but I did not witness such and asked her to wash them so I could see her wash them and she got very irate with me. I then told her that I was sick enough and did not wish to get worse than I already was because she did not wash her hands. Nurses are the worst. They should be the first ones to wash their hands. Why do they have a sink and soap in every room if they are not going to use them? I personally do not like that hand sanitizer stuff, there is just nothing that beats washing your hands. I say to all health care personnel, if you don't like your job and don't want to do what you are supposed to do when it comes to the welfare of the patient, then please find something else to do with your time.
Why - if there are so many examples of infection, patient complaints, poor staff morale, non-competitive pay - are these issues not being addressed by the Board of Trustees. Clearly the Executive staff is part of the problem and not the solution. Successful organizations have Boards that hold management accountable. This place is rotting from the inside out. Sad for this area. And I agree with a previous post that talked about Salisbury/Wicomico County being a low-rent magnet now. I attended a meeting where Marty Neat said Wicomico had become known for its low rent housing and that we were headed down a bad path. He is chairman of the PRMC Board - how much is the medical center contributing to the problem with their low pay and threats to employees that complain?
It is so sad to hear that PRMC is such a terrible Place to go. I was a medical assistant there. I truly loved my job and was released from stating the truth. Its so upsetting when you truly love what you do and to help people in there time of need and you have the managers who do not give a hoot about anything but themselves. The managers did me a favor ,I will find another job it will be hard ,but when I do I will take care of those pts. with the love and dedication I have and treat them with great respect and good care.
The hospital has no class and needs sensitivity training. No matter how much Naleppa and crew want to believe they are high society - actions speak louder than words.
PRMC lost the NICU designation SEVERAL months ago....and they didn't even make a public statement about it. So much for "Improving the health of the communities we serve." Now our premature babies and their families have to leave our community. What a shame!!
Clean house from the top down...it truly IS a terrible hospital...they need to clean house, starting with that cold hearted leech Naleppa. There's no excuse for a bad attitude or poor work, especially when you work with people who are ill. There's plenty of people who would love the jobs of those that allow their attitudes to affect their work. We need a GOOD hospital. They deserve ALL the trash talk they're getting right now, I'm sorry to say.
This is what happens when you are one of the only outfits in town offering X service. If there were 3 hospitals in Salisbury, this wouldnt be a problem. Competition is rarely ever bad for the parties involved. I work at another one of these local places(auto dealer) and what others have mentioned about low morale, horrible managers, low pay and unfairness is the norm in this area it seems. I moved here from elsewhere and nearly everyone here is too busy blaming everyone else to ever change.
citygoer ... Small town mentality is hard to get around. It is true that locals are too busy pulling each other down to build anything here. There are a few thinking people in this community and thank goodness that we still have freedom of speech.
Karma? Haven't seen much of it in my lifetime. The rich get richer... the crooks get away with it... the liberals are running the country. Karma=Liberal
They suck anyway. Between mrsa and staff infections who would want their child there anyway.
ReplyDeleteHey Marty Neat:
ReplyDeletePeggy's gotta go!
And that's suprising.. Bet they loose a lot more.

ReplyDeleteWHEN THE HOSPITAL CLOSES TAKE PERDUE WITH YOU.
ReplyDeleteAre you freakin nuts? Taking Perdue out of here takes at minimum 10,000 jobs. You have got to be a come here that doesn't like the smell of chicken farms or the chicken plant.
DeletePerhaps they have a high infant mortality rate.
ReplyDeleteActually staff infection too....infected with poor lazy attitudes.

This city is nothing more than a low housing city , that's what happened to Detroit.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty building , will make good housing for low income people.
ReplyDeleteThe two ladies on the council , Shanie and the other idiot will love this.
The other idiot, Laura Mitchell needs the hospital for its methadone clinic
Delete8:38 - some of their staff is infected - with apathy.....but you are correct it is staph for short.

Just got my wife ot of that place. She was on the second floor cardiac, the bathrooms were filthy it made an inner city motel 6 look good.

ReplyDeleteMost appear to be long term employees.
don't feel safe my friends.

ReplyDeleteThanks for exposing this JOE, the next time I have a LIFE threatening illness, I will go to PRMC, NOT!
