Exercising their right to peacefully assemble, their right to free speech, cops intimidate, harass, threaten, assault and arrest these people, for what?
Because they said no when asked to leave? Breaking no laws. Not jumping or saying how high when a cop spoke. I think that is the real reason.
People are getting fed up. Soon they will not simply allow themselves to be arrested like these guys did. Offered no resistance and get taken to the ground anyway.
Pretty soon, cops like these, who were only following orders, (Where have we heard that before?), will start to fall and they don't have enough roads and highways to name after them all.
They are militarizing the police forces all across this country. They are building an internal and private army, like the retired Marine told them at a town council.
It may be one or two or a few at the beginning, but expect to see individuals start standing up and resisting this evil. I am surprised it hasn't happened yet.
It is time to stop being passive people. Question everything. Challenge authority. Make them prove what they are doing is legal and constitutional. Just because they wear a badge does not mean they know what they are doing or even what the law says.
They are human, they are fallible. Especially with they type of officers they are currently employing.
Jeesh, that is a lot of cops for two people. I would think that the entire police station responding to this would be more of a traffic issue than these two people.
7:28 AM The average citizen needs to stop hanging out on overpasses protesting, If they don't want a ride to lock up. You can protest all you want in lock while trying to keep your drawers up.
Now back in the day when cops did their jobs the right way it would of look like this. (Cops) hi how are you men doing today. Fine and yourself. (Cops) good, we had a complaint of some people protesting and just wanted to find out what was going on. Nothing much just protesting our goverment. Sounds good to my now laws broken here you all have a nice day.
Yeah, it's time to start immediate defense from these rogue cops. When they begin their illegal, unconstitutional activities, 30 or 40 armed citizens need to respond and issue a cease and desist or die order to counter the criminals in uniform. Get their names, make their addresses and children's schools, wife's work etc, public information. The only safety hazard here was a procession of cop cars performing illegal activities.
I have a suggestion. Just go out at night and hang your signs on the overpass and leave. The signage will probably hang there for a long while and you can get your message out. In the video I counted 7 law enforcement officers vehicles in order to arrest 2 peaceful protesters. Yes, under Obama, we have become a police state. I obey the law and truly appreciate the police. However, police "overkill" is getting out of hand.
Their signs just needed to say "Occupy... " and it would have been OK. Better get out and vote and make sure everyone you know does.. or welcome to the USSA.
bet those cops would crap in their pants if 50 or 100 armed citizens showed up and told them to stand down or else! they always try to single people out that way it's easier to cull the herd! bunch of wussies on both sides!
A good lawyer will sue the pants off these overzealous cops; Obama Troopers...

ReplyDeleteWelcome to the growing police state. Why do you think the gov't just bought a gozillion rounds of ammo?

Really? I see signs all over the place, including here.
