Move-In Nightmare: Group Of Johns Hopkins Students Robbed At Gunpoint

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — College move-in day turns into a terrifying experience. Four Johns Hopkins students are targeted by armed robbers.
And police say those thieves were after one specific item.
Detectives say they believe those students were targeted for their smartphones.
Security alert. The same day hundreds move onto campus, four female Johns Hopkins students are targeted by robbers just off campus.

  4. My wife received treatment at Johns Hopkins. ONE BLOCK in any direction is the ghetto. Hopkins offers apartments to people in treatment for terminal conditions that require several days or more for treatment, but you have to walk in the ghetto to get there. Like always, I made sure my friend and protector were with me. In the several times we were there, I never saw a single cop --- not one. I suppose they were too busy serving and protecting the radar units......confronting gangsters is much too dangerous...

  6. The best and the brightest students in the world and this has to happen to them. Hopkins needs to offer more security for students.. and as one comment already mentioned. DO NOTHING after dark in that neighborhood.
