Md. School Board Reviews Graduation Speaker Rules

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland school board says it's reconsidering a policy on high school graduation speakers after one school's valedictorian didn't get an opportunity to speak.

Washington County's policy specifies that the valedictorian and salutatorian get first cracks at delivering graduation speeches.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports (http://bit.ly/1293PqR ) that the policy is being reviewed after the valedictorian at Washington County Technical High School was bypassed as a speaker during that school's audition process.
