The first public-relations shot in the gun control war is being fired.
The TV ad praising the strict new law will be airing very soon.
It supports the law, due to take effect in October, backed by Gov. O'Malley, who signed it into law last week.
The group Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence is paying for it in an effort to blunt efforts by gun rights advocates who have said they will mount a petition drive to get a referendum before voters for November 2014.

ReplyDeleteObama did inhale so your probably right!
People are so gullible. How will it take guns out of the hands of criminals? It won't, it will take guns out of the hands of law abiding gun owners. I bet that guy wasn't even a hunter. If he was he would go in Gander Mountain, Dicks and Walmart yell outrageous once he saw the shelves were empty of Ammo.
ReplyDelete11:29 Screw Dick's. They drew their line in the sand when this crap started. Don't give them a penny.
ReplyDeleteAny station that runs these adds will be deleted from my TV. Nice to have such options.
The ads are so easy to pick apart; this one fir instance, just needs to ask when the criminals are going to sign up for background checks? You have to keep it simple for these low information voters. They fall asleep after the first sentence.
ReplyDeleteHow hard did they have to search for the 400 people in Maryland who wanted (but never actually ASKED for it) "gun control"? First, I suppose they had to wade through the thousands of people who showed up AGAINST it. I might have missed something --- WHO are our "representatives" representing now?
ReplyDeleteHomicide rate is up - yeah your ridiculous new laws are working
