Brian Vaeth |
Brian Vaeth is a former Baltimore City Firefighter who now runs his own solar energy company.
The Perry Hall resident, who sought the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate last year, is the first candidate to file to run for governor.
Vaeth filed the paperwork with the Maryland State Board of Elections last week.
"There's an inability of our representatives to do the right thing," Vaeth told WBAL News.
"If there is a change that needs to be made legislatively, we'll do it."
Vaeth says he does not have a lot of money to run for governor, but he says he can promote his campaign through social media.
Duane "Shorty" Davis |
His running mate is Duane "Shorty" Davis, who in 2011 was found not guilty of all charges after he placed an empty toilet with newspaper clippings in front of the old Baltimore County Courthouse.

Absolutely I want Shorty as Lt. Governor.
ReplyDeleteShorty is better than what we have now.
ReplyDeleteA few years from now , shorty might be president.
ReplyDeleteIf Shorty was a Democrat he would win hands-up.
ReplyDeleteShorty does not attempt to hide who he really is. Contrast that with O'Malley, Brown, Obsama and Biden.
ReplyDeleteWhy does Shorty look like a criminal? Are you sure he isn't a Democrat?
ReplyDeleteThe first question is one you should ask of yourself , the second- he is a republican, you got a problem with a dreadlocked conservative?
DeleteOne thing this story fails to mention is the long rap sheet Brian Vaeth has. No wonder he says he can relate to a certain group to get their vote. Looks like he left the position of firefighter involountarily. I think he and Shorty are on the wrong ticket. This clown should have cleaned up his criminal history before he decided to run. CRIMINALS
ReplyDeleteJust checked! Shorty is a criminal just like his partner the ex firman. They would win in D.C. on the Democrat ticket.
