Middletown, DE- The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred early this morning near the Maryland State line.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. this morning as Daniel E. Levinsky was operating a 2011 Kawasaki Z1J motorcycle eastbound on Bethel Church Road. Levinsky had just entered into Delaware from Maryland and failed to negotiate a slight left curve before traveling off the south side of the roadway. The motorcycle then struck a utility pole, ejecting the operator from the bike. Levinsky, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident. Traffic in the area was impacted for approximately two hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.

ReplyDeleteFrom the beginning of my street to my house is about 250 yards give or take.Motorcycles are often traveling 80 mph or more when they go by my house.The earlier crotch rocket comment is right.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, what's safe not safe. He was a good man,uncle,son,and brother. Unfortunate things happen to good people. Thoughts go out to friends and family. We love you Danny. You will be missed.
