ANNAPOLIS -- Gun rights advocates are already looking to shoot down firearms legislation that would make Maryland one of the most restrictive states in the nation.
Del. Neil Parrott, R-Washington County, heads MDPetitions.com, a website that collects signatures to put controversial legislation on the ballot to be decided by voters. He said his group was polling its members on their interest in putting the gun control bill, with a number of other measures, to referendum.
"Certainly, interest in that one is very high," Parrott said. "I suspect that would be one of them [we try to get on the 2014 ballot]."

Yes, let's repeal this nonsense. Sooner the better. Where do we sign?
ReplyDeletewon't happen because it will be put on referendum and then voter hacked like the Dream act was...
ReplyDeleteNot to mention this is why they want to make it harder to put on referendum...
Go ahead and put it to a vote and you will see that the people do support this.
ReplyDeleteThey can do what they want; I'm outta this state!
ReplyDeleteBut will eventually catch up to you wherever you go.
DeleteYou say gun rights I say constitutional rights. If they send a bill to strip us of our second amendment. Then the republicans should send a bill to strip all liberals of their first amendment rights. Shall not be infringed.
ReplyDeleteIt's Referendum Time once again! Start the petition! What a great way to govern a state!
ReplyDelete11:58 I need some of what you're smoking, please. The ONLY thing in the bill that has ANY support is the "Mental Health" portion. Since that's already part of the form you have to fill out, and it should already be looked into as part of a background check... why do we need MORE? You have zero clue.
