My Economic Development Plan Slide Show now has over 10,000 views. Thank You Salisbury!

Just as I proved to the Greater Salisbury Committee in their Forum this week, don't think for a second Joe Albero doesn't know how to run a business successfully. I did just that for many years and did well enough to retire at 40 years old.

Salisbury needs a FULL TIME MAYOR. You cannot run a $51,000,000.00 business part time. You can not know your customers wants and needs, part time. You can not build your customer base and or service, part time. You can not know your employees and departments heads and what they are doing on a daily basis, part time. You can not manage your $51,000,000.00 a year budget, part time.

Joe Albero will be your FULL TIME Mayor immediately after taking office. Join the hundreds of people who have placed a Joe Albero for Mayor Yard Sign in your yard. Join my Team and lets really show every one just how successful we can be together. Remember how we, (you and I) came together with the Salvation Army and pulled off the impossible. In a matter of days we, (you and I) took them from paid bell ringers to an all volunteer organization, let's do it again with Salisbury. I need your vote to make this a success. Please get out and vote on April 2nd.

  1. Joe you say you will be a full time Mayor yet the pay is for a part-time position. Are you saying you are going to give yourself a raise right from the get go?

  2. anonymous 9:54, absolutely not. I will work full time at the current $25,000.00 a year salary.

  3. The mayors pay should be at Least $75.000 plus car, Damn every other big town mayor makes that minimum.? If a city wants to retain people, pay them well and hey will stay that's just common sense.

  4. Do you think views will translate to votes?

  5. A pay raise cannot be authorized for a sitting elected official in a current term.

  6. Anon 10:31PM, you are full of it. Ocean Citys Mayor doesn:t make that!

  7. 4:35 Ocean City isn't a big town. Ocean City is a resort town. Annapolis, Baltimore, places like that. Check their salaries.

  8. Our "town" is NOT on a par with Baltimore or Annapolis. So we don't have enough money to pay big time salaries except to chambers & pick. I'd rather see our streets in better repair.

  11. Joe Albero = pick up the pieces
Jim Ireton = pick on the council

Regardless of whether or not people like you, Joe, they would be stupid to put the hissy fit throwing Ireton back in when they can have a mature man who knows how to run a business and say, "The buck stops here!"

  13. 11:27 says who, the Fn Politicians in DC vote themselves raises last year?

  14. I hope the first thing Joe does is give himself a raise. He is going to be working like crazy for Those of Us in this Town, and needs to be Compensated apropreately for it. No wonder our Town has had such Lousy Mayor's in the past, since we pay them so little.

I don't know if his Salary should be $75,000 or not, but $25,000 is just too low for a full-time Mayor!
