LOCATION: E/B Old Ocean City Road @ Benita Avenue, Salisbury, Wicomico Co. MD.


BRIEF RESUME:

On the above date and time, MSP investigated a vehicle crash at the above location involving a Wicomico County School Bus. Veh. # 2 (2004 Chev Silverado), being operated by a Benigno Morales, was stopped on E/B Old Ocean City Road just prior to Benita Avenue attempting to mae a left hand turn into a private driveway. Veh #1 (2013 Wicomico School Bus), being operated by Erik Mezick, was E/B Old Ocean City Road just behind the Chev Silverado. Mezick failed to see the stopped Chev and struck the Chev in the rear. The school bus had approximately 32 students. There were no reported injuries. The driver of the school bus was cited for the crash and the driver of the Chev was found to be operating a vehicle while not licensed in any state.
Charges: Veh #1 Driver at fault - Failure of vehicle operator to control speed to avoid a collision.

Veh #2 Driver – Driving without a license.
