The board of Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary in Georgetown has removed executive director Anne Gryczon. A statement is expected to be released later today by the board.
Karli Swope, a longtime volunteer for Safe Haven, said Gryczon was removed after the board meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Gryczon has served as executive director of the no-kill facility since 2008.
Swope said a group of staff members assembled a report on conditions of dogs living in three kennels around Delaware. She said the dogs have lost weight to the point staff was worried about their health. More
