  2. The order of equations for arithmetic is always MDAS - or multiply, divide, add, subtract. We teach "my dear Aunt Sally" as a mnemonic device.

That means you multiply 5x5 before adding the two 5s. The answer is 35.

    More math problems please!

  4. 35
You complete the multiplication 1st so you get
    5+25+5
    Which equals 35

  5. If it's 5 plus 5 which equals 10, times 5, which equals 50, plus an additional 5, then the answer is 55
But if it's 5 added to 5 times 5 then that would be 30 plus an added 5, totaling to 35
It all depends on how you choose to read the problem. My answer would always be 55, not 35

  8. The correct answer to such an equation is 35.

Multiply first, then add, IF there are no parenthesis to change the order.

Those who ended up with 100 used the wrong order, by adding first, then multiplying.

Should have paid more attention in grammar school math classes ...

    and the answer is 35...

but when there can be confusion, parenthesis are helpful, but who expects proper punctuation when grammar is thrown to the wind.
