NYC Marathon Runners Donate Hotel Rooms to Sandy Victims

In the wake of the announcement that the New York City marathon has been canceled, a new kind of help has sprung up for Sandy victims, in the form of hotel rooms.

Race2Recover NYC is facilitating the transfer of hotel reservations from marathon runners who would otherwise have to cancel them to victims of Sandy's wrath, those who have lost their homes.

For marathoners who are interested, Race2Recover makes it easy. People who want to donate their hotel rooms can just pass along the info for their reservation and the group makes all the phone calls to arrange it.
