ROCKVILLE, Md. — When it comes to speed cameras, drivers are a quick study.
Area police departments are increasingly employing the cameras to slow traffic in target areas, such as school zones.
Drivers have learned where to hit the brakes, and that often results in fewer tickets over time.
"We have the first and starting figures when the cameras are newly-posted in those locations," says Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks.
Well, maybe the answer is that there was never that many speeders in the first place. Maybe it was all a wish we had more revenue and maybe we can use this to get it attempt.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are finding that most here are law abiding citizens while driving. After all, after you do the Stop and Rob, or are dealing crack, or carrying illegal handguns as a felon, the LAST thing you want is to get pulled over!
