Did the suppression or lack of voter ID laws aid President Obama’s victory over Mitt Romney?
Obama did not win a single state that requires photo IDs to vote, although he was victorious in four states that require non-photo identification – Washington, Colorado, Ohio and Virginia. Those states accept as legitimate identification current utility bills, bank statements and paychecks.
Obama won several closely contested states that do not require any voter identification, including Minnesota, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nevada.
The states that Obama lost that do require photo identification do not traditionally vote Republican. Tennessee, for example, voted Democrat in the 1972, 1992 and 1996 presidential elections. Georgia, which also requires photo ID, voted Democrat in the 1976, 1980 and 1992 presidential elections.
This would not surprise me. There is no gray area with those who voted for Obama. They are either clueless or dishonest. The clueless ones haven't the intellect to understand things like foreign policy, deficits, etc. The ones who do understand these things and still voted for him are dishonest. There is no degree to honesty-you are either honest or you are not. When you overlook the lies Obama is proficient at telling you yourself are dishonest and are not ever to be trusted in or with anything.
ReplyDeleteFl Allen West should have ran for rep we would have had shot then.
ReplyDeleteHere come the lame excuses. It's over, Obama won, get over it.
ReplyDeleteNice try, but incorrect.Something much more sinister enabled Obama to be re elected. That "something" may surface in the next few months,or never. It has to do with manipulting ballots via technology, which is inconspicuos if an election is very very close anyway.World governments in general did not want to see Romney elected.
ReplyDeleteI could never understand the Obamanistas that jumped on the bandwagon about Romney's tax returns but were perfectly fine with proven tax cheat Geitner in a cabinet position. Hypocrasy aside do these people have no principles or morals? Are they that dishonest that they would critize Romney for taking legal tax deductions but are silent on Geitner?
ReplyDeletei was a little surprised that they didn't ask for ID when i went to vote. i was just asked my name, address, and date of birth(i think). it should be no ID = no vote.
ReplyDeleteSo, over half of our country is dishonest ?
ReplyDeleteOh please. Get over yourselves.
ReplyDeleteYes,Oprah, Colin Powell, Wesley Clark, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Maya Angelou, and the ton of Nobel Prize winning scientists who endorsed Obama are all "clueless" and "dishonest". Seems to me if your side had such a monopoly on brains and honesty,it would have been pretty easy to beat Obama. But alas, seems the "Obama destroyed the economy, but you are poor because you are lazy looking for handouts" platform didn't work out so well.
ReplyDeleteI Have been voting since age 18 and am well into my sixties and I have never been asked for a voter ID in Maryland. I have a voters registration card and always offer that but they have never even glanced at it. Get over yourselves it's just sour grapes, the race is over and I for one am glad Obama got it , it is my second time for Obama and I'm glad the smug, arrogant Romney did not get it.
ReplyDeletehmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteYep either dishonest or clueless though with those you mention it is dishonesty. With dishonest "role models" like Oprah, Powell and Angelou it's no wonder the black communites are in shambles. It's no wonder young blacks are killing each other and horribly abusing their children in numbers uncomparable to any other race. Not too mention their school drop out rates and illegitimate birth rates. All those you mention are indeed corrupt.
ReplyDeleteReally? When I voted in Delaware, I was asked for my drivers license. So were the people in front of me and behind me.
ReplyDeleteI really wish people would stop spreading these lies!
If you want to make a claim, you should make it an "accurate" and "truthful" claim.
This is the EXACT reason that Romney did not win the Presidency, his lies.
1:37-At what polling place did you vote? We need to know so we can report them immediately. You do not need to specifically show a photo ID, so to ask for a driver's license is illegal. ID can be in the form of a driver's license but also something as simple as a utility bill w/you name on it, a pay check or any gov't document with your name and address on it.
ReplyDeleteWhere I was they only required this for first time voters and those whose registration showed it was done by mail.
lol at 1233 and 1243, have fun swimming in that hate pool. The rest of us are pushing forward to success both in our individual lives and as a country.
ReplyDeleteNot half the country dishonest just limosine liberals who do whatever it takes and trick half the voting public.
ReplyDeleteAs a first time election judge in a state that does not require ID, I caught one Democrat who had registered twice under different birth years. Oh, sorry for capitalizing democrat, I didn't mean to. The rats.
ReplyDelete"The rest of us are pushing forward to success both in our individual lives and as a country."
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those food stamps and that shiny new Obamaphone, moron.
536 sorry bud. No stamps here thank God. But I am enjoying the salary I get from a great job I was able to obtain after receiving gov. loans for college. And oh yeah, I come home to a great house purchased through an FHA loan. A little gov. investment combined with my hard work equals local property tax revenues and higher sells at all the businesses I patronize. Seems like a win-win to me.
