A police officer in Garland, Texas, is under investigation after he he shot a man 41 times. But as if that wasn’t controversial enough, a witness who took images and video with a cellphone is angry after police confiscated the memory card containing the possibly damaging evidence.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the incident occurred after midnight on Aug. 31 when Officer Patrick Tuter spotted a white GMC pickup truck driven by Michael Allen who was involved in a police chase . Allen turned into a dead end, and trapped by Garland police was first reported to have hit a squad car as officers were trying to prevent his escape. It was this that lead Tuter, fearing for his life, to open fire.
That's at least 3 full clips, WTH?
ReplyDeletegood for them! this guy was obviously trash.
ReplyDeleteseem's to me they need better training. 41 rounds? that's pathetic!
ReplyDelete41 rounds because they ran out of bullets
ReplyDeleteSo why take the phone then? 41 shots is a freaking waste of ammo and money.
ReplyDeletecouldnt hit the broad side of a barn at 3 foot
ReplyDelete6:09,9:27,and 9:28-Is it possible that the guy on the receiving end was an incredibly bad ass who just took a whole lot to kill?
ReplyDeleteThat cop should be fired. How in the HELL can he "protect" anyone (thats their own definition of what they do for us) whne he needs 41 shots to kill a man? He reloaded TWICE and still thought the guy was in need of a few more rounds. I would call him stupid, but he's a cop, so I would be redundant. I CAN say that each one of my kids can shoot better than him and they never went through any of these highly touted (by the police, that is) "strenous and demanding" training. They ought to beef up the firing range portion of the training.
ReplyDelete7:55.....are you THAT stupid? Take the BADDEST man on the planet and give me ONE cylinder in my .357 and start looking around for the second baddest man on the planet, because the number 1 guy just bought the farm. ONLY a cop thinks it takes THREE CLIPS to kill someone. While reloading (!!) did that cop even LOOK at the (certainly) prone suspect and notice half of his body was now just barbeque meat?
ReplyDeleteWell the cops need to be put under watch 24/7 if they are going around and shotting someone 41times for no reason and the man they shot was not even armed
